    I'm going to say Lind, simply because we could use that bat in this particular right-heavy line-up. Lawrie is probably the best player going forward, but you make that trade 10 out of 10 times, so can't regret that too much.

    I really think this is wrong. They all care, they just show it in different ways. Man, nobody devotes their whole life to something only to not care if they're successful at it. And yes, you can have fun while losing and still care about winning.

    I'm all for surprise great performances, but I can't see a single scenario where Norris is in the pen at all... He's in the rotation in the MLB, or the rotation in AAA... Those are the only options w/ Norris.

    There... Kinda not anything? Pillar will out WAR Viciedo, which is about as good an "overall value to the team" stat as there is, even if you don't think it's perfect... Arencibia can put up a 20/60 season, but he's still gawdawful, right?

Plus, sometimes explaining a joke can be done in a funny way so that the explanation is also part of the joke. Like this, only sometimes better...

I mean, that would only happen if he started 25 games (and he'd only do that if he was good, or everyone else was terrible...) but that seems like a pretty goddamn hefty carrot for Santana right there...
