    I think Bautista definitely has enough clout in Toronto to get the Jays on board with this type of thing, and the Jays really seem like the type of organization that would embrace that. Also, if they're one of the first teams offering that sort of benefit to kids, it might encourage some more signings, so win/win!

    If it's anything like the leaked script, really the only NEED for it to be an R would be to get extra blood splatter. The action pieces were very Matrix-like, and Wolverine managed to murder a whole lot of people in X-Men movies without tonnes of blood... But I'm cool with the R rating, as long as it doesn't make the box office numbers suffer, 'cause I want sequels, dammit!

    Would have been much, much better off putting that money towards Lester. Better to overpay for a really good pitcher than a pretty okay pitcher.

    Gibbons doesn't make too many egregious mistakes, and that's about all you can ask from a manager. Pretty goddamn dumb starting Navarro over Smoak today, but at least he's pretty decent at line-up construction and bullpen management, which is where most manager mistakes are made.
