    They don't actually have a 40 man roster replacement for Smoak in the minors right now... If he can pitch in a little bit, it's at least something. Portabello and Edwin can play 1B, but they don't have the luxury of adding someone to the 40 man to call up if he goes on the DL right now.

    Because they have no reason to give us that information? Anything they tell us, they're also telling their opponents, so why let them know that our bench is weaker than it is on paper? I don't get this idea that fans feel that they should know all the ins and outs of their teams, fans should never want to know what happens inside the clubhouse or the offices...

    If Smoak was playing occasionally, I'd buy Gibbons being f***ing weird about s***, but he's played what? 5 innings on D and had maybe 2 ABs in the past 2 weeks? Probably more than that, I haven't watched every game, but it's been so incredibly low that something must be going on, he was on a tear for a while there too...

    I appreciate your tracking of this. It seems like they've been very, very efficient and have actually had a great haul, considering their relatively low pool overall.

    In a band. I do session work from time to time as well, but less now that I had to get a "real" job.

    I'm sure I'll find something, this one was nice 'cause it had a very "you can set up your band in the basement and save money on a rehearsal space" kinda thing going on. A lot of the places I've seen lately have been semi-detached (so no band down there) or basically 5' ceilings in the "basement".
