  1. No Were you on the old forum? There were probably 20 of us at a pub in North York (that is now a sushi restaurant, because life sucks.)
  2. Really, that quote should have been "it's not lying if you people don't need to know the truth."
  3. You know, we actually did have a successful meet-up from the old forum once...
  4. Hrmm. No option to put "Ontario" as the "state". Also, the teams are sorted alphabetically, except Toronto is between Pittsburgh and San Diago.
  5. The trophy is called the Gibby. I see much potential in this.
  6. Are you implying that the posters on this board don't matter? I'm hurt, wok!
  7. I'm so confidant in my victory that I'm not even going to make a pick!
  8. http://ak-hdl.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/webdr02/2013/8/2/14/grid-cell-3705-1375469007-40.jpg
  9. He forgot the 2015 World Series Champions banner...
  10. Mark me down as one of the "yelling at the TV" types. Though, not throughout, just the occasional loud "f***" when things go poorly.
  11. I like this guy. (or girl, or clever tree with internet access, whatever...)
  12. I'm also perpetually one day from retirement, so I could be killed at any moment.
  13. Delgado played for the Jays for 11 years, so it really seems like he contributed more. I mean, he was astoundingly good. This is Bautista's 8th season with us (and really, wow... it hasn't felt like that long, has it?), so he's not had quite the same amount of time to make his mark. I think after this season, he'll be considered one of the best the Jays have ever had. I still don't think he's quite HOF material, but, maybe after a few post season runs... who knows?
  14. Bautista has been one of the best, and I think this playoff run will cement him there. If this had been another year where the Jays were on the outside looking in, Bautista probably would have been looked at as a great hitter, but not one of the all-time greats. This run is going to place him in the upper echelon of all time.
  15. I didn't want to become a NARC, I got voted in. But I'm trying to keep the peace and keep the best posters posting. I told Ju1ced when he tapped me to be a mod that I'd be really, really light with the banhammer, but I will let people know when they're bordering on "official" lines. I want all of the best posters to keep posting, so if I say stuff like that, it's honestly "friendly" and trying to give everyone a heads' up before they cross a line. I don't want to be "the man", but apparently I am now, so I'll use that to try to keep things cool without it having to get to a "ban" level.
  16. You have no dog in this fight.
  17. Coach just wanted to jiggle your jubblies...
  18. It's sustainable, that's why *I* like it.
  19. Well, he just closes his eyes and swings really hard, maybe he'll run into one? Gibby's never been the kind of manager to go batter to batter with his pen... For the most part I think that's a decent way to do it...
  20. As long as we don't fall behind them at any point during the series... Ahh, so THAT's the elected official you are. Welcome to BlueJaysMessageBoard Mr. Gore!
  21. Poor Orioles. I mean f*** them, but it's gotta suck to be so awful.
  22. Revere has a tiny spring inside his helmet to make sure it comes off every time he rounds the bases.
  23. Yeah, it went from "the man in white" to "a covert surveillance operation running out of the hotels in centre field". It's the only possible explanation for the difference in home/away results, obviously...
