I think it's a solo-artist-writer type with a small home studio setup. Guitars are MIDI, which is my first clue on that one. Could probably punch it up with a live band, it's really the production that kills it for me.

We try to strike a balance. If people are allowed to do/say whatever they want, then it can become a hostile environment which can and will drive users, both new and old, away. Everyone from the super smart SABR nerds to the "pitcher winz give us valuable information, yay saves!" types should be welcome to post here and should be treated reasonably (ie. if they're saying s*** to troll, or they're being antagonistic they can be dressed down, but if they're interested in learning and having respectful discussions they shouldn't be called names and driven away.) First of all, I'm the least hard working of the mods around here... Second of all a lot of that is "history" related. People who have broken the rules or have grated on mods in the past are less likely to get the same leeway. Is it necessarily fair? I dunno, but mods are people too (sort of, we do have to accept a moderate number of cybernetic implants when we take the job...) so we're imperfect creatures.

I don't know your specific situation (no idea who your previous account was), but I know "whoops, wrong button" has happened more than once...

This board is not the government, this board is a private business that is run by individuals. Nobody has a right to post on this board, we get to post here because admin graciously set it up for us and allows us to post. He doesn't want people s***ing on his carpet when he invites them in, and it's up to him to define what he considers s***ing on his carpet. The rules here aren't particularly harsh, and it's the "piling on" that tends to result in bans. I've said some truly ridiculous/offensive/drunk things on this board before I was voted in as a mod (thanks for that, by the way, f***ers!) and I did not get a single warning PM, ban or infraction, so there is a lot of wiggle room to get away with general tomfoolery and shenanigans, just don't pile the f*** on when a mod is trying to keep order, particularly not publicly. You're making a tough job way tougher than it needs to be and mods are bound to get frustrated by that, particularly when it's the same group doing the same s*** that they've been warned about in the past. If you don't like a poster, the ignore function is always there for you, no need to start attacking them. If you disagree with a mod, make your case POLITELY via PM, not publicly as that always leads to a s***-show. If you feel that you're being unfairly targeted, send me, or another mod a PM (once again, I stress the "polite" thing) making your case and we'll discuss it in the secret-mod-hot-tub. We want you guys here, we want a productive environment for all Jays fans (and some of the better and/or crazier fans from other teams too). Work with us, and we'll work with you? And seriously, I can't stress how much I hate you all for voting for me.

In my defense, I picked 89 wins before I knew we'd have Price + Tulo + guys like Revere and Lowe and Hawkins etc... 89 was a pretty optimistic number when this happened... (also, I'm super happy to be under...)

We have the technology to turn 14% to 0%. 14% is roughly 1 pitch every 2 ABs. That can be pretty damn substantial.
