    I hope so more 'cause I think he's got a bit of trade value still and there's no need to have him on the team next year. I think between Alford and Grichuk we'll be fine in CF defensively, and it's not like Pillar brings anything with the bat.

    Personally, I'm in favour of moving Pillar while he still has value. I think next year is a good time to just put Alford out there and let him sink or swim, he's probably not a Pillar-in-his-prime calibre CF, but Pillar isn't either anymore, and I mean it's not like Pillar doesn't objectively suck at the plate already.

    He's probably more of a guy that's moved at the deadline next year... Though, if there's a good offer on the table, there's no reason not to trade him... Odds that we need a shut-down closer next season are, sadly, not great...
