I mean, his arguments are "$12M is a lot to throw away" and "pitching depth is important". Both are fair points. I'd like to see Roark sent off to the glue factory, but right now we have 3 pitchers out that would ideally be in his spot. Kay is the only reasonable option to replace him, and he'd be better for sure, but then what happens if another pitcher gets hurt?
Sadly, we're stuck with him on the roster for a while, but in a perfect world he's in the bullpen sooner rather than later.
