I have said for the last 2 weeks that Padres are the best fit because their pitching depth is worse than ours.... Thats my prediction and i am sticking to it.
I think that the longer this drags out the more likely the Yanks become involved and give him 60-70M. I don't know if he is being picky with who he is negotiating with or he really is not getting much interest but with catchers and pitchers reporting in 2 weeks or so i would assume something gets done this week. Surprised we have not heard much of anyone in the lead for him especially the mystery team
The 2002 Bucs say Hi lol..... That being said though Tom Brady can make and team look like a JV team when he is on. Love him or hate him he is still the best QB in the league and if you are only a step behind he will burn you.
Still some questionable personalities over there but your right it is a little better. When the season starts thats when a bunch of people come out of the woodworks.
A.K.A RG3... Give me a Andrew Luck, Manning, Brees, Brady any day of the week. You have to be able to throw in this league. Running is just a bonus but you can't rely on it.
Looking at it Butler made a very very good play..... He hesitates for one second it is a touchdown. It was a bad call but that being said he made a really really great read to get into that position.
So we sign a guy to a minor league deal who has been a solid middle reliever for the majority of his career and people are acting like this is the apocalypse. This guy is better then a lot of whats in our pen right now.
I know i am beating a horse to death but the guy can get ground balls at will and for what will be a low cost signing for middle relief that is a big plus in our bandbox.
The thing is you can spend good money but that does not mean your getting what you paid for. Relievers are so volatile. As Twisted said we were thought to have a great bullpen going into last season and delabar blows up and Santos can't throw strikes. There are very few relievers that you can rely on putting up solid numbers year after year. Belisaro is a good ground ball pitcher and gives up very very few homeruns and in our park that is huge and you likely get get him for 3-4M cheaper than some of the bigger names that i don't think are slam dunks by any means. Is Belisario going to be an all star, not likely but i got no doubts that he will be effective.
