  1. Keegan Matheson @KeeganMatheson Chavez Young is having a fantastic camp defensively. He just made a catch in centre and fired home to nail the runner who tagged up. Put the throw in the perfect spot. #BlueJays
  2. Keegan Matheson @KeeganMatheson Josh Palacios just ripped a deep double over the head of the centre fielder. Jonathan Davis is probably still ahead of him on the depth chart because of his glove, but Palacios is getting a lot of love from people in the #BlueJays org lately...
  3. Ben Wagner @benwag247 Biggio with a high, deep drive off the top of the wall in right - so close to going out. Biggio triples, 2-0 #BlueJays Ben Wagner @benwag247 Biggio doing it all over. Handles the ricochet off Zeuch, with a barehanded stab on the grass, off balance and fantastic throw to first. Really nice play. Ben Wagner @benwag247 Hot corner: Biggio handles all three outs in the inning. The great stab, snagged a liner and the one-hopper while letting it rip to first. #bluejays
  4. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Per Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins, Nate Pearson suffered a grade 1 right groin strain while pitching Monday. Club will be cautious and limit his activity in the coming days; not yet a clear timeline on when he could return to the mound. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Atkins: "Our goal and hope is that we're seeing him again in spring training pretty quickly. But we'll be cautious and make sure that pain is completely gone before he’s back on the mound. Whether that's a week, or a couple of weeks, or longer, is too hard to say at this point."
  5. Alex Seixeiro @alexfan590 Dante Bichette on what he's seen so far: Vladdy looks great. Biggio looks like he's hitting the ball harder. Semien had this Dad voice, a very calming presence around the clubhouse. Springer brings a ton of energy. Rowdy is killing the ball. It's exciting. #ArashandStephen #Jays Alex Seixeiro @alexfan590 Bichette says since he lives in Dunedin, he'll be around the team quite a bit during the early portion of the schedule. Says he'll be helping out with some of the Jays minor-leaguers and that he could do some international scouting down the road. #BlueJays #ArashandStephen
  6. Jeff Passan @JeffPassan Alternate sites are coming back — and the AAA season, which was scheduled to begin April 6, will be delayed for at least a month, sources tell ESPN. News at ESPN on the reason for delay, the wait for vaccines and how this alt site will differ from 2020's: https://t.co/zRRT6mn7Nz?amp=1

  8. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Monday's Blue Jays lineup vs. Pittsburgh: 1. Santiago Espinal — 2B 2. Joe Panik — 3B 3. Rowdy Tellez – 1B 4. Alejandro Kirk – C 5. Breyvic Valera – CF 6. Danny Jansen – DH 7. Forrest Wall – LF 8. Austin Martin – SS 9. Chavez Young – RF --- P Robbie Ray Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Pitchers expected to follow Ray: Nate Pearson, Jordan Romano, Ryan Borucki, Francisco Liriano, Yosver Zulueta. Scheduled to be a seven-inning game.
  9. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Acknowledging Blue Jays will have to be smart about his '21 workload, Nate Pearson says he’s ready for anything. "The goal this year is to get as many innings as I can and stay healthy. Those are the only two goals that I have. I think the rest will take care of itself." Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Pearson felt he was trying to paint corners too much last season. Wants to attack more aggressively in '21; and when he misses the zone, miss competitively instead of throwing waste pitches. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Pearson spent his off-season working to keep his slider harder & sharper in the 86-88 mph range; felt it got too slurvey when he threw it any slower last season. Also made strides with curveball which he plans to utilize more often in '21.
