    Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Per Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins, Nate Pearson suffered a grade 1 right groin strain while pitching Monday. Club will be cautious and limit his activity in the coming days; not yet a clear timeline on when he could return to the mound. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Atkins: "Our goal and hope is that we're seeing him again in spring training pretty quickly. But we'll be cautious and make sure that pain is completely gone before he’s back on the mound. Whether that's a week, or a couple of weeks, or longer, is too hard to say at this point."

"The goal this year is to get as many innings as I can and stay healthy. Those are the only two goals that I have. I think the rest will take care of itself." Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Pearson felt he was trying to paint corners too much last season. Wants to attack more aggressively in '21; and when he misses the zone, miss competitively instead of throwing waste pitches. Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling Pearson spent his off-season working to keep his slider harder & sharper in the 86-88 mph range; felt it got too slurvey when he threw it any slower last season. Also made strides with curveball which he plans to utilize more often in '21.
