    Yup. That four game series at home against them in mid-September looks like it could be a huge series.

    If you're gonna pull Kooch there, why not to to Swanson? Chances are that will end up being one of the biggest spots of the game and we still have Hicks and Romano to close it out late.

    Hicks-Romano might be a nice little combo. Hicks-Romano-vintage Green would be even nicer.

    DeJong gets his first start as a Blue Jay, batting 8th at ss. Would be nice if this guy can rediscover his stroke a bit.

    It is truly astonishing that Guillermo continues to have a job. I really don't know why they've held on to this guy for this long. The offense is practically begging for a compete philosophical overhaul.

    Sooooo...Gausman/Manoah/Berrios vs the Angels and then Bassitt/Kikuchi/Gausman/Berrios vs the O's? You gotta think they'd rather have Berrios than Manoah in that O's series.

    Teo is providing negative value on the bases, at the plate, and in the field. And he's still basically doubling Vlad's fWAR (1.1 to 0.6). Ouch.

    Admittedly, I haven't really been paying attention to Belly much, but K% is just about the last category I would have guessed to be his greatest strength this year.

    I don't see any scenario (short of a major injury) where Stroman picks up that option. He's in line for probably the biggest payday of his career right now and he's what, 32, now? Every year older he (or anyone) gets, the chances of a lucrative long-term deal start dropping drastically.

    Honestly I would love to see Stroman back. He's as reliable as it gets, he's a proven playoff performer and he obviously loves Toronto and you know he would be absolutely jacked to come back. Problem is we have bigger needs and the farm is not exactly bursting with high end talent.

    Speaking of Vlad, maybe it's time we drop him down the lineup. It worked for Bo last year. Not that he's necessarily been bad but the guy has one homer off a pitcher since May 4. That's pretty shocking. Maybe it helps him return to the Vlad we need him to be. Springer Bo Belt Chappy Vlad Varsho Etc Just until he gets back to Vladding.

    It'd be nice to see a big series like that against a division rival from Vlad. I know he played well in the first series vs. the Yanks, but still. Seven homers (and zero at home) going into the May long weekend is a little disappointing.
