    I actually kinda hope Seattle sweeps Houston this weekend. With three Houston losses, all we need to do is win one of our last six and they can't catch us. And maybe Seattle will leapfrog us and we'll get the Minnesota/Texas path. Although...Tampa doesn't look overly scary right now either.

    Actually not that terrible of a lineup considering Heineman is in it.

    What a strange season for the Jays playing within the division. They actually started off well, going 4-2 in April. But in May/June/July they were a putrid 3-19 (!). But they've rebounded and are 10-4 in the division in August/September.

    C'mon, you're better than this. Just because they're "really smart people" it doesn't make them perfect and it shouldnt shield them from being questioned or criticized. Anybody is susceptible to overthinking a given situation, or making a bad judgement call. You make it sound like they're incapable of ever making a wrong decision. Time to get off the high horse.

    I think all of that is irrelevant at this point with Vlad. I think it's more about feeling good about himself and getting some confidence back. But who the hell knows.

    Really nice to see Vlad come through with a big hit tonight. Every time it happens a small part of me still wonders if this is where the dam bursts.

    We shouuuuuld hit 89. If we can't go 6-4 on this homestand and go 6-6 against a disinterested Yankees team and a Rays team on cruise control we don't deserve to get in anyway.

    Yeah good thing we held out for the 27-year-old with the 82 wRC+ instead of settling for the 23-year-old with the 76 wRC+. That could have been a disaster. I'm kidding but only sort of.

    Just checked the boxscore and low and behold Schneider's boy Yimi blew another one. The guy will never learn.

    I've been just as frustrated with Vlad as anyone but I think it would be a big mistake to trade him when his value is this low. I know he's been pretty underwhelming other than 2021 but he's still just 24 and you don't have a monster 22-year-old season like he did by accident. His potential is still off the charts and the reward far outweighs the "risk" of keeping an above average bat on his worst day in your lineup, especially when we have the money to still build a solid team around him.

    Schneider at it again. Guy is obsessed with Jimi. He simply MUST use Jimi as the first guy out of the pen if the starter gets yanked in the fifth or sixth inning and there are runners on base. Like, it's ridiculous. I truly believe he would still go to Jimi in that situation if he had thrown three days in a row and the rest of the pen was completely tested. YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS DUMBASS
