Their government got passports for a bunch of guys who play in the Dutch top league, all their starters are guys who play European pro football and they are +9 over 2 games played. Saying that, if we can't beat them we don't deserve to be in the world cup but it won't be like the other 3 games we play this round. Also, we should have Jonathan David for those 2 games.

Alright time to start the Lucas Dias hype train. The kid is a massive talent and if Canada can somehow get him to commit over Portugal it would be huge for Canada soccer. Dias and Marcelo could be the two highest upside prospects in the Canadian system right now. I was trying to find more info on him and there was a documentry made about him --> Get this: HIS PARENTS LET HIM MOVE TO PORTUGAL ALONE AT AGE 11 TO PURSUE HIS DREAM OF PLAYING PRO SOCCER. Is that f***ing normal? That seems INSANE to me esp from a developed country like Canada. He does mention in the doc when he was like 13 that he wants to show Canadians can be good at soccer too, so hopefully we can get this guy called up to the SR team and cap him asap because from what i am aware Portugal is well aware of him and will be pushing hard for him too. Canada lost last night 2-0 but it was 0-0 most of the game and we fell apart in the end which was to be expected....Dias was constantly slicing through Mexican defenders; just so explosive with the ball. Canada games vs the Cayman Islands was rescheduled today at 6pm - Cayman Islands did not submit their covid tests in time so normally a team would forfeit the game 3-0 but apparently Canada pushed back as goal difference could come in play and Canada feels like it can win by more than 3 today. I know Spanky is a huge fan of this guy too.

Alright fellas... We got game 2 of World Cup qualifying today vs the Cayman Islands.....Would not be surprising to see Canada win by double digits in this one. Game is at 4pm and Spanky will be watching. 9pm U23 Canada plays Mexico and if we win Canada advances to the Olympics for the first time in i dunno...a long time. Game is in Mexico and we will probably lose but whatever lol.

Yeah I just looked into him a few months ago when he switched his team commitment to Canada . He's one the the Wolves top prospects and is playing amazing for their U23's. Canada has so much attacking talent ..I just wish we could find some elite CB's.

I think I was most impressed today with Jonathan Diaz. I didn't know a ton about him before the tournament (18 year old who plays in Portugal and can still choose either country) but holy f*** that dude can fly and has some serious skills. His upside looks big so hopefully Canada can't get him to commit

World Cup qualifying kicks off tonight at 8pm on onesoccer. Canada has called up pretty much the best available team the only top talent that is missing is Jonathan David due to France's covid restrictions. Hard to say how much Canada will win tonight by as they haven't played together is like 16 months and had 2 days to prep. My prediction 4-1 Canada with Alphonso scoring 1 goal and 2 assists. Canada U23's play Honduras at 10pm tonight and a win in that game will advance Canada to the semi finals knockout game. obviously a long way to go to qualify for the World Cup but making both the Olympics and World Cup would be kinda neat.

Should be the final piece anyways to knocking BTS out of the playoffs.
