After careful consideration I would like to formally announce I am revoking my die hard fan membership to the Vancouver Canucks and will become the biggest Seattle Kraken superfan the world has ever seen.
I haven't looked too much into detail yet but i know they play something like 14 games against these teams and then the top 3 in the standings go right to the World Cup. I'll look more into it this week.
Sooooo in the final round of World Cup qualifying we have:
-Mexico
-USA
- Honduras
- Costa Rica
- Jamaica
- El Salvador
- Panama
- Canada
Top 3 teams go automatically to the World Cup and the 4th goes on to play in another play in game for the last spot.
Tonight is the night. Last time Canada was in this position was in 2012 when they just needed a tie or draw to advance to the final World Cup Qualifying round and they lost 8-1 (lol).
9pm on OneSoccer. Prediction Canada 3-0. We going to bring the hurt real bad to Haiti.
Canada wins 1-0. Field conditions were terrible so i'm content with the W. Haiti strategy seemed to be try and break Alphonso knees anytime he touched the ball. Super lame.
I just finished going through the Haiti team and Suriname is definitely the better team on paper so i'm pretty confident that Canada will move on to the final round of World Cup qualifying which is something i don't believe we have done since the 90's (although could be wrong).
Time to jump on the bandwagon fellas. Here comes Canada.
