Blanco has prolly the worst bat in the league. Heck the guy Boston played tonight (#3 on depth chart) is prolly better then anyone we have.

Is it that hard? Theres prolly vet catchers out there who you could aquire who give solid D and will sport a better OBP. I mean we picked up Yorvit Torreabla last season for nothing and hes prolly better then JP.

Good point. Even Bostons weak links still give you a OBP above .300 like a Stephen Drew and they dont totally kill your offense.

Just checked the Tigers rank #1 in team OBP. No suprise that Boston and ST Louis, 2 of the best teams in the league are ranked #2/#3 in team OBP. Jays rank #19 -

The Tigers can get away with it because they have a loaded pitching staff and the best hitter in the league.

Thats what good teams do. Even when they dont play there best they still find ways to win games. This teams inability to consistantly get on base and also situational hit shows up bigtime when we play AL East teams.

Ya you dont trade away that many catcher prospects unless you feel the young ML catcher you have is really good. The Jays FO is obsessed with players with power so the fact they really like JPA isnt suprising. I really dont know where AA is going to go from here because its obvious this team just isnt good enough. Better then last year? No doubt, but not good enough to be a contender.

You just cant lose games like this. We should have won, that 6th inning killed us. We should be a game up on .500 with a VERY favorable pitching matchup tomorrow.

Agreed. Whats the point in even keeping him around? You basically tell the guy hes not good enough to be hitting coach but instead of getting rid of him you make him first base coach? AA didnt want to upset Cito.
