    This next 14 games (1 vs TEX, 3 vs COL, 3 vs BALT, 3 vs TB and 4 vs BOS) are the season. If we do well and go something like 9-5 or 8-6 then things will legitimately look up but if we tank and lose more then we win its over.

    I see Hurl mentioning trading Rasmus. What could we really get for him and what teams would be interested? Seattle?

    Noone said the replacements are good or that were happy with them. Just that some of the fans havent missed Lawrie as much as they might have first imagined. It's almost like his absence has turned down the temperature ALOT and its a good thing.

    We only see Lawrie during gametime. Imagine being a teammate and having to be around this guy almost all day every day? He would drive me insane.

    Ya I was also a fan of the signing but he's been underwhelming. If he continues to hit like this I wonder if we would just be better off with either Gose or Rasmus manning LF?

    The worst part about Melky is that he looks like a pure DH going forward (even tho he aint have the bat for the position) Some of the routes hes taken and his inability to chase down semi tough balls is bad. His legs look shot.

    Yep I feel the same way and I used to be the biggest Lawrie fan. Dude needs to grow up fast or hes gonna have a short career.

    Utley healthy (theres the rub) would look pretty good on this team. What about selling high on Janssen to a team like Detroit? Maybe aquire Porcello?

    Texas is playing just ugly baseball right now. Theres really no reason why we shouldnt take the next two games with the pitchers we have plus Texas's struggling O. Then go home, sweep the Rockies and BOOM.......record of 35-36

    Whats your definition of a "good return" At this point I think we'd be extremely lucky to fetch a top 100 prospect.

    I disagree. I dont see any team really giving up a great offer for Lind. Were better off holding onto him and praying this turaround is legit.

    Rasmus only has one swing. Every swing is 100% pure upper cut pull. No defensive swings to fight off tough pitchs. He never adjusts his swing plane to hit the ball the other way. It's no suprise everything is basically a K or a HR.

    Why? They've shown to be a good team for far too long now to all the sudden expect them to collapse.

    How fast can AJ Jiminez be pushed thru the minors? Could he end the year at AAA and potentially make this team out of spring training next season?
