  1. About 30 minutes before, Schneider came out of the dugout, ignored whatever "stats" would have said about Scherzer facing more batters, and let Mad Max stay in the game. It was the right decision based on his gut. My guess is that the used his gut, and was trying to be too smart by half by putting Little in. It had nothing to do with an algorithm coded by the front office. He f***ed up. Bad. Edit: I don't know how to combine my three replies into one, sorry for the spammy.
  2. I can't stand Hoffman, and I still think he was the better option. Atkins gave Schneider a bunch of gas cans and BB throwers.
  3. If this is the reasoning that JS used, then he's even dumber. The highest leverage point of the series so far wasn't going to be the 9th in Game 5. It was the 8th in game 5. I really, really hope that wasn't JS's reasoning. There is actually more blame to be placed on Atkins than anyone for putting JS in the position he did - with a bunch of B and C relievers, rather than a couple or more A guys.
  4. There's a few diehards on here that are defending JS decision to use Little. But to say that view is a minority would be an understatement. The regular media are roasting him, the youtuber crowd are roasting him even harder. Even the Jay's broadcasters can't toe the company line on this one and are roasting him. It was a historically stupid decision.
  5. I actually expect Trey to dominate tomorrow. The Mariners don't deal well with spin, and Trey learned from the other performances, and probably from Max. I expect to see a lot of his splitter and his wacky slider tomorrow.
  6. There was variations of decisions and we could debate what was the best way to go. But there was really only one worst decision, and Schneider made it.
  7. The Jay's media went very easy on Schneider last night. Siddall, KP, Campbell, Madison, and Joseph were all holding back, and you could tell. They had to criticize him despite being employees of Rogers. But they just ripped into him, rather than completely decimating him, which is what they could/should have done. It was one of the single stupidest things I've seen a manager do, considering the significance of the moment. At least it might displace the 8-1 blown lead and the early yanking of Gausman in the last playoff series. Hoffman should have been available and should have come in. Hoffman has been pitching well. Seranthony was obviously available and pitches much better with clean innings. Atkins should be fired for not understanding how to build a bullpen in the off season or the trade deadline. Schneider's decision last night with Little is a fire-able offense.
  8. The guys on the bench must have all been passed at Schneider
  9. We've been s***ing on Atkins since the trade deadline
  10. Good argument that Bryce Miller is the MVP of the series so far
  11. I think Gausman will give up 2-4 runs over 6 innings. If that's the target our offense should be able to rise to that.
  12. Not really. Neither player is consistent. They are what they are.
  13. they start them all at exactly the same time.
  14. There are people in the org who can fix the obvious mechanics issues with Vlad. Does he refuse coaching?
  15. That contract looks bad now, it will look worse soon, and be considered one of the worst contracts in pro sports history by the time it's done.
