I think people are overestimating Bauer's injury. Do you really think they would have him starting a playoff game if it was that serious. Worst case scenario for Cleveland is that he pitches 3 innings and Miller goes the other 6....which is actually the best case scenario for them.

Two road games, one run. One of those games being against an ace who you'd expect to throw a good game. If this was the regular season, this wouldn't even be on the radar as a slump. But in the post-season everyone thinks the sky is falling. We'll see in a week where this team stands.

What I like best about Zaun is that he is pretty much the antithesis of everything he values. A decent defensive catcher who could get on base. Like Hitler campaigning on the superiority of blond-haired blue-eyed people. Wouldn't it be great if Zaun was an active player. Jays FO: "Look at all these s***** stats of yours, we'll offer you a 10-year, $15M contract" Zaun: "Geez, I better take that, I suck"

I think this is the general consensus of everyone right now. It's just that we all have our slight preferences and it's fun to be an armchair quarterback while we are waiting several days before the Jays play again. Estrada - dominant in post season Happ - a grinder who got out of jams despite bad BABIP luck Sanchez - ground ball pitcher, excellent fit for Fenway Stroman - probably the most talented of the four even if he showed just flashes of that this year.

If the Jays start in Cleveland I'd prefer Estrada. If the Jays start in Fenway I'd prefer Sanchez. Stroman for game 2 either way.
