  1. He throws harder, so that's sexy. He hung several breaking balls he got away with. Manoah's flash is the slider. When his slider is working, he's extremely tough.
  2. s*** luck for pearson...a seeing eye grounder.....what was Grichuk doing throwing that home.
  3. Yes, I don't know why people are so upset. We should be used to it by now. If we can win one and sneak out of town, I'd be content.
  4. The A's play the mariners 7 times and Houston 6. That's not the the easiest of schedules.
  5. He's not been great and yet he's still got on base 8 of his last 9 games. He's taking his walks. It's baseball. He'll lock in again.
  6. Jays up 3 to 0....Cleveland scores 2 against Cole in the top of the 1st...I like it!
  7. Everything he said was right, it's just the delivery of the message. Marcus would just give the disapproving eyes and a shake of the head and the message would be delivered.
  8. The player has no value if you if you have to eat 40% of the salary to trade him. We're trading our garbage for their garbage. Grichuk is probably worth 5 mil a season and is owed 2 years 20. Donaldson has 2 years 44 plus an 8 mil buyout. If their goal is resetting and reducing payroll it isn't that a deal. I'd throw in a lottery ticket prospect. They could eat half the money and get a slightly better prospect but no one is giving big prospects for Donaldson. The injury risk is too big, the buyout in the third year is 8 mil and he doesn't have the best clubhouse reputation.
  9. Donaldson has had crap luck with the bat. His batted ball profile is still pretty elite. His xwoba is .377. He's had run of errors in the field. That could easily reverse course. I'd trade Grichuk for Donaldson.
  10. Nostradamus reborn. Who could have predicted the league's best offense scoring more runs!
  11. so will the whiners relax for 15 minutes now.
  12. His fly ball out was 102.7 off the bat. Donaldson's homer was 102.8 off the bat. Springer has plenty of power. He just got under it a bit. A quarter inch higher and it probably would have been homer with a higher exit velocity.
  13. man I laugh at the people on Twitter who say Donaldson couldn't even make our team now.
  14. f***...Donaldson just got that off the end of the bat..he was all over it. Come on Josh....enough already. Quit sticking it Shatkins and lay off a bit for the fans that cheered you..lol
  15. You said the same thing 2 weeks ago.....enough already. You don't think we can score any runs today?
  16. All the credit to Hays. That was a pretty good pitch. Hayes really had no business hitting it out. Just a great swing.
  17. suck it Yankees....do the orioles have anyone who can close..lol
  18. Teoscar has 5 errors this year, so 12 is absurdly high!
  19. Vlad crushed a ball that's a game tying double if it's 15 or 20 feet further right. Against Fairbanks with one on, he was all over a 99 mph fastball that was right down the middle, he just got under it and popped it up to the left side. The game really is a game of inches, or quarter of inches in some cases. Vlad was close to tying the game up twice. On to the next.
  20. Sounds more like a precautionary thing. Cole was lifted from his start with hamstring tightness and didn't miss a start. Usually when you have a bad pull there's a moment where it happens and everyone knows. He could have felt something and was pitching through it for a couple innings. He was lobbying to stay in the game when he got pulled, so it couldn't have been that bad. It was nice to see Springer's double. The speed is there when he needs it. He went full out and was seemingly fine afterwards.
  21. His glove was turned toward the ground, not the sky....how could he not have trapped it.
  22. He got back the end of August. https://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/2021/08/28/dante-bichette-joins-blue-jays-again-to-try-to-help-unlock-those-bats.html
  23. Great visual. We're sitting at home wondering why guys swing at pitches in the dirt and literally a few feet before the ball hits the dirt its center cut. Some breaking balls are just nasty.
