  1. I'm sure I read on here he was a second tier CF on here a couple weeks ago..lol
  2. Cliff lee was 4.2 BB/9 in the minors and he has had one of the lowest walk rates in the majors for years....pitchers develop at different rates. Sanchez is a guy who needs to work on some things...but that doesn't mean he's never going to get it.
  3. you'd think they were facing 3 powder puff pitchers...not hamels, lee and burnett
  4. he gave up one run...have a chill pill. If he gives up 4 more...then it's appropriate to start bitching..lol

  6. How are you taking Lawrie's glove away at 2nd. He's going to make plays at second as well. In the limited time he's played there this year there was a ball he got to preventing it from going into centre and I was awestruck at how he was able to get it. His range is ridiculous regardless of where he plays. He will be more prone to making routine mistakes at 2nd, but he can be impactful at 2nd or 3rd. Miggy played 3rd for fielder. It's not as if teams have never decided to choose offense over defense....offense is still more important.

  8. this offense scary...hitting lee and hamels around on back to back nights...not too shabby
  9. screw the defense...lawrie to 2nd juan to 3rd....we're going to scare the crap out of pitchers
  10. well this could be fastest game of the year by a mile. Game thread will be lucky to top 10 pages the way things are going
  11. I know, why can't he be a righty. He looks like a big leaguer though. It would be nice to extract some value via trade if there's no place on our roster for him.
  12. That's the problem. He only has 830 plate appearances, which is less than a season and a half worth of appearances, so he could still be developing. The walk rate increase, if sustained, would suggest he could turn into a very good power hitter or it could be an aberration leading to the eventual regression. Where do the Jays play him when Lindy gets back. There's no place for him. I like the idea of getting him the odd start at 3rd to get him some at bats using lawrie at 2nd, and to have him hit late in games. He could also give lind or EE the odd day off. If he gets enough at bats and produces he could turn into a tradable asset. You could also trade Lindy, who would bring far more in return. It all depends on how much you buy into what has happened lately or whether you feel he's been overly lucky. I don't have an opinion either way. I like what I've seen, but I need to see more. The trick will be finding him some at bats.
