    All you have to do with Kirk is watch his lower half when he made his first hit. Fat guys aren't suppose to be that flexible or athletic. He's a bit of circus freak really. I do hope he drops a few pounds in the off season. I'm just happy for this kid financially. In the article about him in spring it said he got a 30K signing bonus, but he only received 7.5K. He's going to get about 60K playing in September and potentially a lot more in the playoffs. Being the short fat kid with no money in your pocket coming up to a big league club for the playoff push with a bunch of rich guys with ego's would be very intimidating. He's lucky the Jays are a young team almost devoid of ego's. His journey would be a lot tougher with a lot of other clubs.

    Vlad is slow. His sprint speed is 25.3 which is quite a bit below league average. It's ticked up since the beginning of the season, so I think he's in a bit better shape. He's like any hitter...in a bit of a funk, but hopefully he gets hot and then our lineup will look really scary once Teoscar comes back and Rowdy makes a surprise appearance in the playoffs!

    He's been playing AAA this year. There's just no stats and we had no idea how he was doing. I'm guessing he was knocking the cover off the ball and that's why they brought him up.
