    Randal did foul the first one straight back...he was a half inch from tying the game. Still not having Gurriel up at the plate in that situation is infuriating.

    finally a hit for grichuk.....knocked the crap out of that one....he had a .637 OPS over his last 28 days coming into this one and he's hitting 3rd...this management.

    The Yankees have faced a bunch of garbage pitchers outside of Walker who was asked to get 5 outs because fisher can't play defense and you're going to fatigue and lose command when you have to throw 30 plus pitches in an inning. Wag, Roark, Anderson....they aren't any good. Pearson threw to batters today. Shoe threw 45 pitches....we need them both back.

    I heard him on Sirius today and he wants to pitch 44 starts next year. I think the ability to pitch more often might be a bigger factor than money.

    I'll cut him some slack...the pitcher doesn't usually act as the cutoff man....of all the base running mistakes that have happened that one wasn't near as bad as some others.

    Grichuk has been awful lately too. He may have some back issues as someone suggested. Gurriel has an OPS of 1.014 over his last 28 days. It's inexcusable to have him hitting 7th.

    I'm pretty sure Ryu qualifies as being better than Merryweather. Merryweather throws hard, but you might be a bit premature in calling him a star.

    Yeah...their pitcher couldn't see the signs from the mound, but our guy on second was stealing signs.....what a bunch of babies.

    I'm not sure who decides our lineups each day, but someone should tell whoever that is that Gurriel is a good hitter. Batting him 7th.....just ridiculous.

    I'm not sure about that, but there's no way to have predicted it so complaining about it was pointless. Trading Hendriks in hindsight is a bit sad. He seems like a fun guy. Can't blame that one on Atkins though. He was hired Dec 3 and Hendriks was moved on the 20th of November for Jesse Chavez. I guess that's the one trade that's on Shapiro.

    I don't envy any front office personnel making a decision on a pitcher. Pitcher's elbow's are a nightmare.

    You read my mind..I was looking up pitchers for next year. Bauer, Tanaka, Paxton, Stroman, Odorizzi, cheap kluber flyer? It's pretty slim pickings really. I would do my best to convince the mets they need to trade Degrom, but that's probably a dream.

    Tanaka had the same issue his first year in the MLB. He returned that year, but he took a lot more time off than Giles did. Maybe we rushed Giles. We heard each and every year about the risk of tommy John for Tanaka, but here we are 7 years later and he made it through his contract with no tommy john.
