    Bo is on track for 32 Vlad is on track for 28 Varsho for 24 Chap, Springer, Jansen+Kirk for 20 Like these guys can all mash but you don't really ascribe "oh he's a HR threat" to any of them with how this year has gone. Someone like Judge - you miss a spot, and its gone. For us, you miss a spot, and you may get a double. Our ability to punish meatballs has not been consistent at all. Sequencing hits is okay when everyone's hitting but when people cool off or go on the downswing, it's going to be a struggle. Chapman has cooled off for May (47 wRC+), Whit is also slowed down a bit (61 wRC+, but he gets on base and its a different game, so he can get away with that). Kirk is in shambles (1 wRC+).

    We really need someone to go on a HR tear, like a legit power threat. We have people who hit the ball hard, sure, but legit need to see some flying over the damn fence and changing the game. Can't believe we are tied for 16th in majors for HRs and 20th for HR/Flyball.

    There is some theory that what the Yankees were picking up on was how Belt positioned based on the pitch-com relay. Shrugs.

    Ya we wanted Nootbar. Cards said no, the best they will do for a catcher was Helsley. Jays said no to that and went for the next option in Varsho.

    Iunno, are you saying the broadcast (Dan/Joe) are misinformed and they are just saying things for the sake of it/promote hiring Mattingly was a good move? I have no stake in this, by the way lol. I'll just agree to disagree.

    Take it up with the broadcast that repeatedly talks about why Vladdy is doing that this year specifically, and why Mattingly is the reason. Unless proven otherwise, I'd trust them since they work closely with the ballclub than any of us do.
