    Its not that their offense is bad or unsuited for playoffs, just their offensive depth - i.e. injuries to JRod/Geno really slowed them down over the stretch of games and they couldn't find suitable replacement; sure in SSS, you can say September Kelenic has been a thing but even then, he is no substitute for JRod who was also on a tear before the injury. Comparatively, us with injuries to Springer/Teo/Gurriel/Kirk along different stretches of the year as well as. in a recent case, overlapping (Springer/Gurriel hurt at the same time), and some heavy slumps from Bo/Vlad, we still remained one of the best offenses in the game.

    Jays and Rays have an excuse - we're playing tough teams (and Jays 4/5 spots were terrible both times in that span). Os/Ms on the other hand have none. Os bullpen decided to throw in the towel and Ms lack of offensive depth is in full bloom.

    I understand the reasoning but John Schneider officially said that Manoah will pitch the game in BAL (162) if home advantage is on the line.

    Dude refuses to understand that Vlad is literally the guy the needs to do damage. He is the guy you should not have excuses for. He is our counterpart to Judge, JRam, Yordan, Goldy, Freeman, Soto/Machado, etc. And him having that kind of horrendous pitch selection at the end of September during clutch RISP situations is not going to do s*** for us in playoffs. Our playoff ambitions were built on this guy being an absolute powerhouse, a threat that every time he comes up - things can go seriously wrong for the opponents. But, right now, they know how to pitch to him to get him to chase and if not, you can make a pretty safe bet, he'll groundout. And if you point that out, he comes back with "omg he's so young; stop treating him like he's 35." or "omg why do they pitch Judge such meatballs but Vlad is away away away." I mention he should've mashed that 89 mph slider meatball and his reply "well he was sitting fastball" gtfo. He has a wRC+ of 83 in September, yikes.

    Maybe tell your boy to swing at the 89 mph slider middle middle instead of going after the 97 mph at the bottom of the zone eh?
