No one is happy about Teo's AB and the result of it. You just seem to compare everything Jays do to what the Rays do; its just weird that you love so much about the Rays... yet here you are.

You don't have to be happy about it but this is what the Jays do, have done for the past two seasons. At this point, you can accept that this is what they do or go cheer for the team you appreciate in every sense.

Its the approach/philosophy of the team and management. Be aggressive af. Which, again, is different from what the Rays do. You should just become a Rays fan to avoid the misery of why Jays are not like Rays.

I kinda liked Lourdes leading off tbh; his new high-contact-no-power stroke is not really a hot streak anymore considering he's been hitting for well over 2.5 months now with a .400 OBP clip. Also Kirk slumping. --- Omar told me batting orders don't matter but I SAY, I dare dream. LGJ VGJ Teo Springer Kirk Chapman Merrifield Bo Biggio/Espinal This way, the chance there is a GIDP with Kirk hitting/on-base is minimal (all infront of Kirk can steal, Chapman only Ks/flys out and Merrifield can still - surprisingly - run).

Think a 140 wRC+/5 WAR 1B who has dramatically improved his defense during a, presumably, down year is great. The only issue, really, has been since the hand injury from Hicks his timing hasn't been there leading to terrible LA/increased GB% - GIDPs. Which is somewhat getting better of late, I think? More of his peppered baseballs are ending up as doubles. His HR rate went down (like kinda hard pressed to think he'll hit 30 HRs at this rate unless he goes on an absolute tear) but OBP of .360 is pretty good for a guy with explosive athletic speed (who finally is allowed to steal bases if he gets good jumps). I don't know about Bo though. And I am not sure how 'committed' they are to him long-term. His discipline at the plate is going to get ridiculed for the rest of his career and he's clearly sticking to it - swing first, think later. It won't age well and it just comes down to how much rope he'll have. He's fine as a SS but definitely is not a bat you want at the top of the line up (LGJ comfortably took that role this year), but he has been untouchable alongside Vlad to any sort of shifts for the better of lineup.

He does have 3 RBIs in the last 3 games.

Bo is not hitting (at least he gets RBIs when needed) well Kirk is slumping Chapman hasn't looked good the last two games Espinal super slump mode Danny hasn't had good contact in a bit Springer injured Just Lourdes/Vladdy kicking right now, and that's going to hurt down this stretch. Better get it rolling soon.
