  1. Guess it is. Vlad is 3 HRs to 100; 3 Hits to 500.
  2. I am delighted with this move, not many managers have the balls to do this. My belief is that lineups should be fluid and not 'set in stone based on seniority', irrespective of whether it makes a tangible difference or not. Despite the analytics still permeating through Schneider (as with Montoyo), he is trying to force things along versus just waiting and hoping.
  3. Has to be a quid pro quo. If they wanted a stronger investment from FO, they should've played better overall. You can't band aid so many glaring issues. How many wins would burning the entire farm (which apparently wasn't appraised as well by the other teams to begin with) have netted us realistically, maybe 2? Coaching is hopefully the first order of business this post season. Three batting coaches and we have been dragging our offense through the gate so far for the majority of the season. Baserunning coach needs an update as well.
  4. Orioles/Guardians/Orioles is really not a good back to back recipe for us lol Both teams show incredible amount of hustle - every groundball is a legit sprint, smart ABs, decent pitching I think it was Buck who said it on broadcast the other afternoon; if JRam is the one who is sprinting out every ball in play, that sets the precedent because he is their best player, so if he's doing it - everyone should be doing it. And then obviously Adley for Os. It still triggers me beyond reason how Vlad just opts to jog. Bo also doesn't seem to leg out ground balls even if its a risk of GIDP. Once we get to the Sox/Yankees, we might feel better of ourselves. Those clubs are more our pace.
  5. Lets see if Os do what Bo couldn't do
  6. Lefty/lefty matchup that ends in a walk. All right.
  7. God I love the LGJ inside out swings.
  8. Merrifield went to Chapman's school of not defending the plate with 2 strikes
  9. He's pitching well - bloop hit, weak fly, weak grounder x 2, 1 K. The hit should've been an out with a better throw from Vlad and/or better pick by Bo. Hopefully the defensive nonsense from yesterday isn't going to carry over.
  10. Ait 1 run per inning wins the game.
  11. lol Hedge had a lot to say there
  12. Damn Bieber came in there and Espinal got the hit.
  13. Doesn't have to be positive; just not defeatist. In case, you are unsure of the difference: this game sucks v. Jays won't make playoffs.
  14. They are just pulling the ball (first inning, none of them were pulled) - I wish a coach would step up and just be like 'yo, do you remember what worked in the 1st inning'?
  15. If it doesn't touch the player/glove, its not an error.
  16. Some analytics guy said lets give Biggio RF, Whit 2B, Tapia CF instead of ... Biggio 2B, Whit CF, Tapia RF and Schneider went along with it.
  17. Can none of our catchers throw out runners? Is this why we wanted to hold on to Moreno?
  18. Saved the double there pretty sure
  19. They are making him work but he's getting it done. --- Pulling the ball again; 1st inning approach pls.
  20. damn, nothing is fooling them atm to get the strikeouts.
  21. Guardians = Rays philosophy; high contact + speed.
