    I agree, no plan for any depth with this roster. 1 or 2 injuries should not cripple a so called "World series contender".

    That's not fallling off the map thats injuries and age, he was beast for well over 10 years and one of the best players of a generation (Best IMO when you consider everyone else was a cheat), and he still had some good numbers later in his career. Not even remotely close, sure fire HOF.

    Now almost mid-may, team starter era is 4.88, second worst in all of baseball, last year it was 4.66............... Despite all the money upgrading rotation, we got worse...... Yes, the bats were asleep in April but have come alive in may, but we simply cannot win with pitching like this, and this was before the injuries... Amazed how just 1 or 2 injuries and we seem to have almost no option and no depth. It's still possible, anything can happen, but it's highly unlikely at this point our pitching is anywhere near good enough to make a run at the post season.

    Amazes me how we have almost no options after a couple injuries, injuries always happen. Never say never buy it's going to take a miracle to turn it around with such bad pitching.

    This, developing talent is the single biggest issue with this org, we need a new delgado.

    Maybe, but the lack of timing after spring also tells me not enough work and preparation was done in spring.

    It seems odd we have a tonne of injuries the last 2 years, is it bad preparation? Not enough work in spring training leading to strain when the season starts? (Might also explain terrible start?)

    What I meant by that was AA and the team was touting this teams depth, depth is a major concern with any team, not many options in the minors or anywhere with just a few injuries, seems to be a major oversight by the org. Good teams have depth, this team does not.
