    EE has to be better then that, pitch in the dirt on 3-2, hes been doing that all year.

    Even buck martinez and greg zaun called out JP a lot the last few weeks over constant cross ups with pitchers, inability to frame pitches, block balls in the dirt. He's useless throwing out runners. Anyone who has watched baseball can see JP is a bad catcher. We are jays fans we obviously want him to be great, the only person being irrational is you. Trying to excuse away his lack of catcher skills.

    HUH? Who said we were OK with Boni and izturis? No one is. And that has zero to do with JP. Yes his D is that bad. HR/FB is a lot diff the K/BB JP was never a guy who walked, thats the type of hitter he is, thats is not all of a sudden going to change. HR's always come in bunches, he wont keep this pace.

    You lose any credibility when you say his D is pretty good, he is probably the worst defensive catcher in baseball. Cannot block balls in the dirt well, cannot throw out runners, bad at catching/framing pitches... Thats the point, he cannot sustain his offense the way he hits.

    Rasmus and JPA making you proud? lol, Special K's. At least rasmus plays good D, JP might be the worst defensive cather in baseball.

    Sadly agree, real bummer to as mcgowan has real potential. Hutch should take buerhle's spot when he's back.

    Around average, in the minors maybe, his D is horrendous, one of the worst in baseball. He also cannot throw out runners at all. His numbers cannot sustain themselves so so many K's and almost no walks, too many fly outs.

    Agreed, i'm just stupid sometimes but I blame my wife for that, slowly sucking my life away.

    More so the lack of production, not driving in runs, terrible with runners on.

    Umm no, he is really bad at his position. Don't you think everyone hopes he gets better? Isn't that obvious?

    By my standards for an allstar it's a bad start he is hitting under .200 with runners on and only recently started drawing walks. Bautistas jobs is to drive in runs, hes not doing it right now. His average is bad as well, although starting to climb.

    Bautista has not had a good start we know this, he has hit 7 hr's, but other then that has really struggled, especially with runners on. Do you think he is on the decline, or is it just a matter of time before he heats up? Based on him walking more lately there are signs he is going to heat up, or at least has a better approach. He has no hit a HR in awhile either. he is 32, but I am more inclined to think he will get hot soon, I hope so as we need him and edwin to really carry the load especially driving in runs.

    That's just terrible, this slow start may have cost us this season.

    That explains such a bad start, everyones timing seemed off, that's a major coaching error imo.
