  1. Moises Sierra hitting 417 with an OPS of 882 in his 6 games with the Sox. I honestly felt he would clear waivers.
  2. i suspect he is in the pen to manage his innings . That said how long can this team continue with 5 inning and 2 inning starters . Mcgowan is more valuable in the pen and Happ is? Happless
  3. He probably is more valuable in the pen as a high value reliever but I think Stroman will have to take Happ,s place
  4. So much for a 2-1 game . Dusty doesn't look good . We are going to have to score runs against Richards
  5. I have Richards in 3 leagues so I'm hoping for a 2 -1 Jays win with lots of k,s
  6. When you have 4 or 5 good young pitching prospects in A ball and you deal all but 1 odds are you will have guessed wrong.
  7. Like that for the 2nd day in a row I get home and it is already a laugher. Looks like Dickey didn't pitch well but the offense came to play.
  8. Must have missed the posts bitching about Seitzer.
  9. Better to be hopeful and enjoy the season than to wallow in despair . Now that most of the horrible roster management has been corrected I plan on enjoying the baseball
  10. Hope so cause I'm sure Stroman will have to fill Happless,s spot
  11. 7 man pen won't happen till we get starters that don't blow thru their 100 pitch limit in 5 innings. Be interesting what McGowan and Happless do this turn thru.
  12. Tampa and LA got rid of him because he got FAT and LAZY and his defense suffered. Kratz is a huge upgrade defensively.
  13. Starting to feel better about this team. The Starters are going longer (except Happ) BP with rest should sort itself out especially with casey back soon. Hitters all seem to be heating up (except Reyes which will come ) and the bench is stronger and with Gose getting on base the depth at AAA seems deeper than I thought. Stroman being ready and Nolin and Hendricks pitching well along with Morrow possibly coming back adds huge depth. Add to that the injury God is hitting the competition hard. Tampa down Moore and Cobb, Yankees losing Nova and Pineda, O's with Weiters issues and Boston still not replacing Drew and Ellsbury. Suddenly the odds are much better
  14. With this pitching staff I want defense behind the plate. Jays have enough offense especially once Reyes gets going. Navarro has cost us 1 game for sure and possibly more IMO. Good bat but too fat and lazy to play decent defense. Maybe he will work himself into shape if he gets the hint that his play isn't cutting it.
  15. Thole has played pretty well and Navvaro sucks defensively
  16. I love Kratz on the roster mostly because Navarro is a disaster behind the plate. Like his bat but defensively he sucks. If they can talk Lawrie into playing 2nd against righty pitching then let Francisco platoon with Tolleson you would only have 1 replacement level player in the lineup against lefties.
  17. He has a 181 wOBA vs lefties . If ever there was a platoon player Juan is it plus he is a below average fielder at 3rd and would be a disaster at 2nd, a position he has never played. Lawrie does not want to play second but if he can do it for awhile against Right handed pitching it would give us another big bat in the lineup.
  18. Wow just got in and saw the box score . Jays needed a laugher but to get it against Cliff Lee. Huge lift to the team. Gives the Bull Pen a rest and they need it since McGowan and Happ are coming up after Dickey .
  19. Hindsight always gets spread all over boards when teams lose and the manager is usually the target . Personally i haven't seen him throw a pitch yet. AA has put him him a huge hole with his roster management. Gibby wanted McGowan in the pen and that is where he provides the most value. However now that Happ is in the rotation and McGowan,s FIP is starting to trend downwards slightly the question is where is he the most valuable. Happ won but didn't pitch great,(better than I expected but not great). You can't expect a bull pen to keep pitching 4 innings a game. We all know McGowan and Happ will get more starts and how many will not be determined by their FIP. Pray Stroman gets lites out from now on.
  20. Yep! Just as he has heated up and two of the next three starters we face are lefties. Francisco,s bat goes in sleep mode against lefties .
  21. He walked 4 in 5 innings! Then again he surprised me by making it thru 5 without getting blown out.
