  1. I would have went with Jose Dariel Abreu at 1B.
  2. Well then, scratch Arroyo. I'd still like Ubaldo though. I'd also take a chance on Halladay if he came cheap(5mil) with a bunch of incentives added on.
  3. Sign Omar Infante for 2B - 3Yr/24 Trade for Ryan Hanigan for C - Arb, 3Mil? Sign Bronson Arroyo (9 straight years with 32 gms started) - 1Yr/9Mil Sign Option A: Ubaldo Jimenez 3Yr/36Mil or Option B: Scott Kazmir 2Yr/16Mil Around 30Mil added to payroll. Lineup: Reyes - SS Cabrera - LF Bautista - RF EE - 1B Lind - DH Lawrie - 3B Rasmus - CF Infante - 2B Hanigan - C BN: Thole - C Izturis - IF Gose - OF Serria - OF/1B Rotation: Dickey Morrow Jimenez/Kazmir Buehrle Arroyo Bullpen: Our bunch of Ace Relievers
  4. Altuve and Castro please. I'd be fine moving Stroman or Sanchez in a package for those 2.
  5. They will pair up very nicely together in the rotation and save us a ton of money over the next few years. It's really good seeing Sanchez up there so high and as the top pitcher, especially after the subpar year he had this year. Sanchez will be great for the Blue Jays and for my DDL team. Double bonus!
  6. I hate A-rod as a player, but I so hope his suspension gets thrown out. Mainly because I hate the Yankees and Selig more. But also because I think it's unfair on what they're trying to do here. Something like this? http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?tsn=1&nav=messages&webtag=ml-bluejays&tid=92886
  7. Yup. At first the trade looked like it could have been a win for us. Jump ahead a year later to right now, it's looking like it's a huge lose for us. In 5 years if all those prospects bust and Henderson Alvarez regresses then and only then would this trade jump back into our favour.
  8. Way way way too early to call Marisnick a AAAA Player, he's only 22 years old and cracked the majors last year. Since when was Justin Nicolino projected to be a reliever... Anthony DeSclafani was good last year too, and he was starting. Henderson Alvarez seems to be coming along good as a starter too. Yunel Escobar was already a good SS on a great contract. Hechavarria does have a terrible bat at this point but he could be a starter on a few teams on his glove alone. Only player in that deal that is bad is Jeff Mathis, and he was still better then our starting catcher last year. As for the "Reyes is an all-star caliber shortstop and Beuhrle is a #3 based on numbers." part, yes they are. But we could get someone like Buehrle for the same price any year on the free-agent market without giving up assets to do so. Reyes is good, but we could have got him for nothing the previous year, and could have got him a lot cheaper from the Marlins because everyone knew they wanted to shed his huge contract before his expensive years.
  9. That one is just as bad. I didn't like it. I tried convincing myself it was a good trade because it was going to put us over the top. But it was bad. They could both be one of the worst even if they're not combined.
  10. I liked this trade when it first happened. We gave up a lot but it looked like we were getting a ton of good pieces back that would help us compete. Right now, I think this will end up not only as one of the worse Blue Jays trades ever but one of the worst trades ever in MLB. This is right up there with Cliff Lee, Brandon Phillips, Grady Sizemore for half a year of Bartolo Colon.
  11. Guys... I think Jays4Life is actually JPA himself. He's trying to convince us to have faith in him going into next season. All he is talking about is his power(not any other baseball stat that could be useful). Soon we'll hear this guy calling himself a Top 5 DH.
  12. I'd do that. No way cardinals do
  13. Rogers advertising funds. There'd be millions of more eyes watching each of dervish's/ Tanaka's starts. Those eyes are worth money, even if they aren't located in north america. 1 billion more viewers a year? 30 million Chinese per start
  14. Answer: Too many. If it's more then 65 he should sue the f*** out of everyone.
  15. I think Darrell's is copy writeded or what ever you call it... http://www.darrellsrestaurants.com/
  16. This was mentioned in numerous places.. This morning.. If you're at least gonna make a thing for f***ing Dan Johnson, have it called "Bluejays sign Johnson" creates a lot more intrigue.
  17. I would have been fine with Brown for Bautista if Franco was also coming our way, and we were getting Lee or Hamels with Buehrle going the other way. Bautista and Buehrle for Brown, Franco, and Hamels/Lee.
  18. You have to go with the Ace Reliever guy don't you...?
  19. So, I guess you won't have room for Miles Head on your MiLB roster to hold onto him for me for the waiver draft? I do actually have 1 available is space on my roster right now.
  20. f***. Looks bad. It'll hurt the Olympic Team too.
  21. Bundy's problem is that he's an Orioles pitching prospect. I like DeShields a lot more at 2B then in the OF.
  22. Zach Lee actually took a step forward this year and had a good year. I'd take him on my team anyday.
  23. Delino DeShields Jr, Rafael Montero, and James Paxton all have a chance to be above average MLB players. They're not 1st tier prospects but I'd say they're all solid 2nd tier. Plus he got a high draft pick. The reigning champion got even stronger. But I still like my return, Bradley could be this years Fernandez. And Teheran was amazing last year if you take out his first 3 starts, and his SOs increased to 9.4/9 in the second half.
