Does trading Erasmo and Jon Singleton really count as "aggressively pursue"(ing)? I don't feel that strongly about Maeda, that was just an opportunity I couldn't pass up, based on my valuations.

Also its entirely possible the complimentary beers in combination with the fact that I knew North was in fact there led to the most unique and decidedly non sexy beer goggles of my life.

Interestingy it was right at the end, and I was on the way out going up the aisle so there was no opportunity for furthe engagenent. I tend not to ever feel awkward, and I'm not convinced North knows how to feel, so it didn't ever feel awkward, no.

We walked by each other and did a double take of recognition followed by an unassuming but respectful nod. I can't speak for North, but I know I tried to downplay the whole thing as I only recognized him from (what would only be described as within normal levels by officers of the law) Facebook stalking.
