Here's my opinion. Before I say anything about the current situation, I think you need to have a noon windows rule. This is a brutal window. I know BTS said it takes 30 seconds to check the board, but that doesn't work with a 9-9 window. There's a very good chance someone could leave to meet up with people at 8 on a Friday night, get hammered, and not even wake up til 11 the next day. Are they supposed to a) make a drunken pick when they stumble home at 3 AM or set their alarm to wake up earlier and make a pick? Why not just make a rule where all windows that are set to expire after 6 AM get pushed to noon?
Now for gibbers. If you're in a dynasty league you should be checking the DDL forum at least once a day, or at worst, at least once every TWO days. It takes 5 minutes tops to check both the proboards and DDL thread on here.
If he was doing the above, he would have known the waiver draft is this weekend. The announcement for the waiver draft was three days ago. He could be out of town or something, but that's why you have to tell people you're going to be out of town for a few days in February. We all knew this draft was coming.
It's perfectly fair for someone to make their pick when the window expires. I also wouldn't hold it against someone if they want to be a nice guy and give him more time. I personally wouldn't show mercy after 12 PM.
