  1. BJMB prospect list loves my farm. 5 of the top 15 players (and traded 1 a few weeks ago).
  2. Pick em both up if they're going that cheap! *edit* they can help us increase our club age!
  3. do it! Or else TCA will just start pissing trade offers randomly around the board.
  4. Grab Pagan, a decent BP arm (Romo, Blanton?). Do we have the payroll to get that done? 2B - Travis RF - Bautista 3B - Donaldson DH - Morales SS - Tulo 1B - Pearce C - Martin LF - Pagan CF - Pillar BN - Some backup C BN - Smoak BN - Barney BN - Upton SP - Sanchez SP - Happ SP - Stroman SP - Liriano SP - Estrada CL - Osuna SU - Blanton/Romo SU - Grilli RP - Biagini RP - Barnes RP - Bolsinger RP - Howell
  5. It took me a lot longer than most to accept the new AG, but I'm finally there. He's good. I will say that getting constantly poked by him, for some reason, would not have helped and I can see why you and min don't like him (and I don't like it when I see it)
  6. Alex Dickerson Justin Bour Steven Moya Aaron Altherr Alex Meyer Aaron Blair Junior Guerra Edubray Ramos Bruce Rondon Antonio Bastardo Dario Alvarez Shae Simmons Pretty slim pickings
  7. 19 of 20 keepers for (insert clever name). Let me know if you want anyone on the chopping block. Willson Contreras Carlos Santana Dee Gordon Trevor Story Kyle Seager Billy Hamilton Gregory Polanco Nomar Mazara Eduardo Nunez Travis d'Arnaud Carlos Martinez Aaron Sanchez Garrett Richards Alex Wood Cody Reed Matt Bush Pedro Strop Sergio Romo Darren O'Day
  8. also; damn I miss the Up and In Podcast
  9. We're nixing internet radio at my office due to bandwidth issues. Anyone have suggestions for the best baseball podcasts out there?
  10. I love the idea of adding Robertson, but he's going to costs too much (in prospects, and bucks). Would make the pen a hell of a lot better tho.
  11. Once a few more lists come out I'll do the obligatory composite rankings of the lists and 'rank' the farms.
  12. 13 - Giolito 15 - Senzel 19 - Rodgers 25 - Glasnow 73 - De Leon 78 - Whitley (Forrest) traded #2 and #95 this OS.
  13. We didn't want you to have to find out this way KK...
  14. so stupid to get excited about baseball being back... in January... i R excited
  15. done and done. (apparently I was half way through processing that trade when my daughter bugged me yesterday, so thanks for the catch)
  16. If we want to work on rejigging the rules doc, the current rules are listed in section 8 of the google doc. They are currently the ones that were listed on the PB's with an appendix of past compensations.
  17. actually there IS a note in the rules. Just says late Feb
  18. Looks like early Feb based on the dates from PB's posts. We could put a note about draft dates in the rules section of the doc to avoid having to figure this out every year
  19. I don't like the idea of tying what the DDL does to what LOD does.
  20. yeah, may as well leave it open for the day in case Hurl or KK want to chime in, but it seems like 20B is the front runner.
  21. seems light to me as it ignores prospect attrition. The fact that he made it (and put up some good seasons) suggests to me that he is worth more. With DD, Hurl, and my vote, we are past the threshold of voting based on what NJH put forward (an odd number of voters from the pool of BTS, DD, Hurl, KK, Boxy, Myself). So with that (presumably?) confirmed, lets hammer out the exact comp. I think on the MiLB pick side, the range is between 21 and something like 80? (equivalent to a low 4th rounder). We could offer him a choice of MiLB pick or Waiver pick. What are everyone's thoughts? I'd say a pick between 21 and 41 is the range I would be comfortable. I'd probably say a bit higher if we are talking waiver as all those players were non-keepers and no choice international talent will be left at pick 10. So something like 10-30 on the waiver side would be the range I'd be comfortable in.
  22. so any movement on the Ventura comp discussion? LOD is going yes, sounds like BORED is going no. Dinger and I voted Yes, BTS voted no. I think we know KK's position without an official response to the 'vote'. I think it makes sense to put this to bed sooner rather than later
  23. and a good pitchers park with a good team and boatloads of money, vs a s***** part with a s*** team of penny pinching owners.
  24. b/c the AL. More s***** parks all around. DH's. No s***** divisional offenses (except the Rockies)
