  1. I'll take the idiots and their money. As long as ownership isn't pandering for their approval, which I don't see our management doing, they're more valuable than harmful.

    not too shabby
  3. haven't multiple people ITT done this? Don't read too far into this.
  4. Constitution has been edited with the following; under articles 4.5 and 5.7 Let me know if there are any objections to this wording
  5. Picks are now updated with the 'new' (old) draft rules. I'll update the league constitution with the same.
  6. I'll update the constitution doc once this is confirmed by at least a few on the Council of Darrells
  7. K, I have the picks redone. I'll update them tonight unless anyone says differently. One last recap; For all picks (MiLB and Waiver) Picks 1 - 5 (lottery teams) are determined by a lottery that includes the teams with the 5 worst records the previous season. There is a separate lottery for each draft. This positioning follows through to all rounds of the given draft. Picks 6 - 12 (non-playoff teams) are determined by the reverse order of regular season winning % Picks 13 - 20 (playoff teams) are determined by playoff standing, with the league winner getting the 20th pick. Speak now or forever hold your peace! Obviously we can discuss changing going forward at some point during the OS.
  8. It does make sense, but confirms if playoffs are included or not (or at least if they WERE that year). Owner - RS W% - Playoff finish - Pick SVG - .701 - 1 - 20 NJH - .611 - 2 - 19 DD - .578 - 3 - 18 FTD - .641 - 4 - 17 It follows the playoff positions. Which is what I wanted to confirm. I'll redo the picks to follow this. Please keep this in mind while referencing the google doc at this time.
  9. I looked back at last years picks and it seems like Dingers 1st pick was 18th overall (traded to GP) despite him finishing 3rd in the playoffs. FTD's pick looks like it was 17th overall (traded to TCA, then Hurl) despite finishing 4th in the playoffs.
  10. well someone make a damn ruling b/c I did it the other way already (backed up before doing it, so no info is lost)
  11. yeah as I understand it we're doing it the same as other years and any changes will (may) be voted on over the OS. I do still want to confirm that draft order (beyond the first 5 picks) is based purely on W%, and division winners have nothing to do with the order. I believe this is the case, but I'd like to confirm before I put the work in.
  12. That's how I remember it as well. So draft picks will be assigned based on the lottery for the first 5 picks each round + the winning % of teams after pick #5 in each round. Division winners do not count for anything in the draft position? (ie they are not always the last 4 picks in a round). Please confirm and I will finalize picks.
  13. I will amend the league rules page once this is figured out as it is not perfectly clear.
  14. also, how do division champs play into this? Are they ranked 1-4 despite record or is it all via win %?
  15. I always thought it was all the way through the draft. Let me know what is decided.
  16. that would be easier, so I'm for it. (someone else chime in if you don't think that is right)
  17. Going to switch over draft picks from the 1 (ZRO) format to actual picks now that the lottery is done. Can anyone refresh my memory on how we rank teams for draft picks? Does it take into account playoff finish, or just regular season standings? I feel like it does depend on the playoffs, but I only want to do this once.
  18. Looking to trade; Gregory Polanco Julio Urias not looking to dump either, but would make a challenge trade for either if it could help me in the shorter term Billy Hamilton Matt Bush Pedro Strop Obviously not looking for gold for these guys. Would do a pick-swap to move up for them. Could all be valuable pieces if you had keeper room to spare.
  19. that's the one I was looking at (re: his stuff backing up). Would have been nice to know where he was sitting to start this year. I'm wondering if we picked him up to switch him to the BP.
  20. all I could find for scouting was from 2016 work which talked about his stuff regressing. Obviously can't tell anything from 9 1/3 inning, but I'd love to have heard how his stuff looked this year at least (as he struck out 12) on an unrelated note, he's served a 50-game drug suspension and look at this photo from MiLB.com jesus man, get some better eye drops.
  21. the Red are dumb https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/11/reds-will-not-make-qualifying-offer-to-zack-coart.html you have to get something for Cozart... should have dealt him for whatever they could get at the deadline.
  22. +1 .
