  1. 3, 5 ,6 for Dinger is pretty f'n impressive. My farm is a shadow of its former self, but I'm p-happy with 7, 10, 25
  2. If Pearson lives up to the hype, I will regret selling him so early Hope he does, could use a top flight pitching prospect on the Jays.
  3. helps that he's right there with a clear path to a MLB roster spot
  4. Lets hope they see something of the same in Grichuk
  5. Some Justin Smoak talk in another thread got me wondering. How much credit do we give the front office for inking this contract? Nobody here could rationalize why they gave him an 8.5M guaranteed contract at the tail end of a season that he put up -0.1 WAR. Then the very next season he earned his entire commitment with a 3.4 WAR year. Under contract for 2 more years (and only if he sustains with a cheap .25M buyout). How much of the breakout did they predict / foster? So little of that contract made sense unless they predicted some real advancement in the bat.
  6. welp, that showed me! edit; ps, did you say that in a Trump voice while typing?
  7. If you say so Boxy McKenzie 2017 - A+ 11.71 K/9 2.83 BB/9 0.88 HR/9 3.03 FIP Whitley - A - AA 13.9 K/9 3.3 BB/9 0.5 HR/9 FIP... ugh, is there an easy way to pull this up for a guy who played multiple levels? I'm sure there is... but... considerably lower than 3.03 He is dominate (as all these dudes are), but I wouldn't bet on anyone being >> than anyone else on that list.
  8. honored to be on the list, but my offer tops out at Sixto+ Is the Keller snub b/c you don't like him, or b/c of SG's retardedly good team?
  9. So my keepers are pretty much set unless I pull another deal out (Sixto available for a fit that really works). Feel free (please, really do feel free) to pick through my garbage! I'm pretty devoid of picks, and prices will be loooooooooow. Jacoby Ellsbury Pedro Strop Joe Kelly Darren O'Day Ian Kennedy Liam Hendricks Chris Stratton John Gant
  10. Hurls offer was tops from the beginning. We've been talking about Billy for a while now. Good deal'n with you Hurl (whenever you confirm ;p)
  11. To Hurl; Billy Hamilton, Waiver #19 To z3r0s; Blake Rutherford, Waiver #49
  12. David Hernandez? Seung-hwan Oh? (dat FB rate tho) Kevin Siegrist? Did something happen to him last year? Koji Uehara? Tony Watson? Chase some upside with guys like Bruce Rondon Shae Simmons
  13. FA RP's a pretty much a crap shoot unless you are buying Holland
  14. At the very least we have enviable depth all over the diamond. Quality backups at most positions that should be passable or more (Solarte, Diaz, Pearce), and prospects who will be in the high minors that have serious upside (Alford, Teoscar, Jansen).
  15. end of day, we need all these small solid additions to be buffered by a bigger acquisition. Even if that is a medium term addition like Cobb or Lynn. Gotta give ourselves a punchers chance of the playoffs while not overburdening ourselves
  16. Its definitely more than I would have thought it would cost to get Randy. It does help that I have zero faith that Greene will turn into anything, even in the BP... but still seems expensive. I am excited about what our team can do with Grichuk tho. Hope for some magic!
  17. FA 2021 offseason
  18. With low price options in the OF, we need to spend some cash on the rotation and BP
  19. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/01/blue-jays-acquire-randal-grichuk.html Cummon guys, its been like 2 mins, where's the thread!?! Price seems higher than I would of thought, but I figure he is a good target in the juiceball era
  20. would you guys kindly take a ticket and wait in line... there's an 'auction' going on right now!
  21. Get yo bids in on Billy! I'd like to make a decision early in the weekend (which starts at 5:00 today ) Leading offer is a prospect with upside (although so far under performing) and a waiver pick swap (with the other party moving up)
  22. them on base kills
  23. I'm really thinking we need to sign a Cobb or Lynn this year. I was almost convinced a stop-gap 5th starter like Dickey might be the right choice so we could have more cash to spend on other needs. But getting a better starter this year is obviously a plus, and the rotation would look terrible the year after once you lose Happ and Estrada.
  24. It is not TCA... but I encourage him to bid! cummon bud, lots of OS left to trade an OF for something good!
  25. I don't think anyone here is trading for Billy if they are confident their CF will hit them 20 bombs and get 70 RBI (unless they are severely SB deprived). Sadly, your 3rd round proposal does not compete with the current standing offer.
