    I like the framework. I think it would be important to try and keep those option years as low as you could get tho. So you have some amount of leverage to turn those option years into an extension when the time is right.

    So my plans for the OS including; - Trying to upgrade 2B, 3B, CF - Trying to upgrade SP Looking to deal; - Garrett Richards. To a team that can wait - Eric "Needs to get out of MIL" Thames - Adam Eaton. I still like him, but my OF is jammed and he isn't getting CF back any time soon in WAS - Aaron Sanchez is available - RP deals can be had. Plenty of valuable guys and I won't be able to carry them all Nobody on the roster or farm is untouchable, but I'm saving my gems (Senzel & Whitley) for blockbusters or I'll just hope they actually make the jump next year (as I expected them both to be playing LAST year!). I also have MiLB 15 to dangle *Edit; If anyone wants to take a shot on the animated corpse of Matt Kemp, please contact me so I can stop considering using a keeper spot on him.

    yup that's about it. Doesn't sound like the Cubs could take the option unless they moved some money around, so it was a unique situation. Only 1 year left on each pitcher. Cubs get Hamels at $20M - $7M they "save" on Smyly's deal. Rangers get Smyly for only $1M more than they were potentially on the hook for with the Hamel's buyout. Cubs get some more certain innings on a pitcher they like. Rangers get an arm with some potential (those HR's tho)

    Harper was so bad in the field this year it looks like it really affected his overall value. He's never been that kind of bad. He's a weird animal. The highs are super high. The lows are... still pretty good. He's anything consistent tho.

    Looking to trade for a RW. Would love to deal a C (someone like Turris) for a similar RW asset. Also have some depth on D. Would also move a prospect. Would consider trading one of my high-end C's in the right deal.

    Berrios is obviously the most intriguing piece. Seems very frustrating to own so far in his career however. Probably a good deal for both sides given how they are sitting on the competitiveness projection curve

    Will depend exactly when he signs. He is subject to the international singing limits, so he will be MiLB (Rule 4) Draft eligible UNLESS he makes it to the show before the draft! Then he'd be the rare rare coveted waiver wire pick-up. There is no way he will be Waiver (Rule 5) draft eligible.

    how so. You can't add players in the OS. To me the OS starts after the league championship. Just because Yahoo is still open doesn't change when the OS begins.

    oh, and I guess the ones from the 24th as well, unless they are good b/c the claim was made Sunday (that second one might be right)
