He doesn't understand what he should be doing with all this relief depth. Trade the 'closer' who inflated market value, the build up the perceived value of the other guys (like Delebar) by getting them saves. -

i traded for it with the condition I didn't draft Abreu. That's why he wanted at #1, but I didn't trust him not to trade away the #1 in one of his cockamamie giant trades to someone who wanted Tanaka instead. It really didn't cost me anything, so I consider it reasonable.

Tanaka is BEASTING so far. My GMing skill is really showing through (yeah for lottery luck!) Hope it keeps up (except for the Yankee part)

I like Cain the best there. I like the value he can bring on defense, I think there is some upside, and a I feel the market likely undervalues his skillset.

It seems you and I value Ackely very differently.

strangely enough, I don't think i've ever been in a league with no PIMs stat. Not that I think its a good category, but just hasn't happened.

I've always like Ackley (even when he struggled) and he's proven in the past that he can play a decent (even good) 2B. You also have some cost control with the guy where I see us losing Colby after this year for a pick. Problem is of course that you move from a defense only 2B to essentially a defense only CF

Do the M's do a Colby for Ackely+ deal? Are we a better team with Ackely at 2b and Gose in CF? Colby is so hot and cold that it would be tough to commit to him long term... he's just so damn fun to watch when he's swinging it.

The time to get Ackley was the OF. He's hitting well and Seattle probably doesn't deal him despite the fact that he's WAY more valuable at 2B then in LF. Dumb Seattle, and dumb us for not going and getting him.

By the end of the year I fully expect to move Garza or Johnson. Looking for offence or quality prospects.

I'm certainly not going to cry foul now. I was 100% aware that it never happened and had plenty of time to (and remembered I could) do it myself. No worries from me.
