    I love the idea of getting Martin more and more as I think about it. Should be underpaid because the market doesn't value defense enough. Should be underpaid (again) because the market doesn't seem to value framing much at all. Would be great to have a fantastic framer and game caller if we are going to rely on young pitchers to carry us. Has some nice on-base skills. A nice marketing bonus to have 3 Canadians on the roster (obivously doesn't affect the decision to sign him, but a 'fun' bonus). Sign this guy!

    because nobody (even mods) are checking the DDL all that frequently, trade to announce. Gryffindor receives: Jose Reyes, Sean Doolittle Insert Clever Name receives: Aaron Sanchez, Andrew Andrew, Nick Franklin, 2nd overall MILB let the flaming begin, please process when you have a chance.

    This is just going to be a s***** issue to deal with on all sides. Trying to put a value on the 'asset' feels wrong... but not addressing it isn't right either.

    I was thinking last night how terrible it would have been for 22 year old me to be handed a Ferrari. That's a dangerously powerful machine that I'm sure most people don't respect because 'I've been driving cars for year!'.
