  1. Yeah I won 10-2... oh wait, Price only started once... I see this happening too often to too many teams. Sort of a flaw of the league.
  2. You just picked up Ekblad AGAIN... ffs
  3. Lowrie would be a great get for 2B. He's got some upside and can handle SS if Reyes goes down. It would be nice to have some real competition for D. Travis.
  4. stay away from those guys Cats... I wants them!
  5. No, a 3b. Not a pile of dog s***.
  6. Still looking for an upgrade at 3B. Pitching and OF are my biggest areas of strength. Roster Players, Prospects, or Picks are all in play. Shoot me an offer!!
  7. just slap that grass down! Its going to be a huge project.
  8. I will move on if we can get Saunders (or the like).
  9. You guys just don't get it because you have never played the game at the highest level... pfft
  10. What JFAS said.
  11. That really is a crazy contract.
  12. I'm fine with Saunders or Fowler in LF honestly. I would take a gamble on Bruce, but not for one of our young pitchers. If Melky came on a 3 year deal I'd take him as well. Guy is only 30 so I don't know why people think he is going to fall off a cliff in the short term. Bad D, good O for the next few years.
  13. unless you negotiate control away like some teams have been doing to get deals done.

I faced the wrong team this week
  15. i hope that is true, that's too cheap for someone else to get Hanley for.
  16. Not sure where to post this, so I thought here. NJH, JFAS, how accurate are defensive WAR numbers from back in the day? (on Fangraphs) I'm a big Ted Williams fan (the numbers, and him generally being a badass), but his defensive numbers are not good. That being said, he still holds a 130.4 career WAR. I got me thinking about what that number actually represents. Does anyone know how they are calculated for historical players?
  17. This is all that really should be said. Why the f*** you would post something like that if you clearly haven't actually looked into what transitional fossils exist? It really is staggering how many people hold opinions on things they have clearly have no knowledge base in.
  18. pass if the price is Sanchez. I believe in him.
  19. not all that important from the backup C.
  20. This is not as crazy as it sounds.
  21. Didn't he indicate he WAS looking to add on PTS. I wouldn't put much stock into AA interviews.
  22. worked for them, maybe it ends our drought I do think Liriano will be a good value sign however.
  23. I went back and looked at my initial draft after that convo with BTS. After the cut-down this year the only players I will still have on my roster will be Michael Morse, and Ryan Cook. Ouch. Oops, and JJ who I have got almost no value from (so he is easy to forget)
  24. I wouldn't got 7 years on any of those pitchers. Shields is most likely to accept less years.
  25. I haven't ever read anything good about his 2B defense, but its hard to know. He had a down year but he has decent K and BB rates. The speed is real and he has a little pop. I agree he could be a nice bench piece with an outside shot of being something better.
