  1. any chance to look at my Proboards message Hurl? I'm still hungry for a 3B.
  2. That's disappointing... Not following close enough to see who is left, but would have thought you could take a shot at a BP guy. Only costs you 25K if he doesn't stick.
  3. Its not going to be a horrible rotation, but I don't see it as that great.
  4. Masterson to the RSox http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/12/red-sox-to-sign-justin-masterson.html
  5. yeah, I like Porcello, but its not a scary rotation at all.
  6. reduced hansomenesss ratio... what are you thinking Fried
  7. Best part of the Heaney deal is that its the kind of thing Friedman was wet dreaming about back in Tampa. Write off 10M to make a great deal.
  8. So with the Yankees and Sox are basically out on Yoan Moncada if he signs next year?
  9. Valbuena isn't a bad bench piece either.
  10. I had thought about Baez to LF, but then he really has to hit to his potential. I hadn't thought of Souza, but that's a good idea.
  11. Got any targets for LF? Melky doesn't actually seem like a bad option if you get him on a 4 year deal. A bit of proven production at the top of the lineup. 13-15M per year, shouldn't be a negative value if he starts at ~2WAR next year. Russell, Melky, Rizzo, Bryant, Soler, Baez, Alcantara, Montero, Pitcher is a much better lineup Lester, Arrieta, Hammel, Syndergaard, Hendricks is a pretty slick rotation with lots of depth like you said.
  12. That would be the thing... i still don't see him getting that kind of length to a deal.
  13. I did forget that! Should be fun to watch them. They were just talking about Melky as a target for the Cubs, which would certainly help their lineup.
  14. Anyone think that it makes too much sense for the Cubs to trade Starlin Castro to the Mets for a young pitcher? I'd have to think that Castro and Syndergaard would be somewhat close in value. Would set up Russell to come up and play SS and get them a young controllable pitcher that could contribute in 2015. Go get a half decent LF/RF, its a nice lineup and rotation. 1- A. Russell - SS 2- J. Soler - RF 3- A. Rizzo - 1B 4- K. Bryant - 3B 5- J. Baez - 2B 6- A. Alcantara - CF 7- Some LF/RF 8- M. Montero - C 9- Pitcher SP- J. Lester SP- J. Arrieta SP- N. Syndergaard SP 3-4 - Wood, Hendricks, Wada, Turner, maybe even McCarthy?
  15. lol umpires... this reminds me of the postal strike. You are in a dying industry, do you really think its a good idea to strike. It will just encourage people to switch to the technology that will replace you.
  16. fairly stupid. IMHO *edit* if he isn't starting
  17. I like Masterson, but as a gamble, not as a counted on member at the top of a staff.
  18. love Delino. My LOD squad would love if someone took Winkler and got him the hell out of COL.
  19. A back 4 of Gregerson, Cecil, Adams, and Loup is a pretty nice way to start a BP. You can fill out the rest with however is pitching well. K-Rod would be interesting as well.
  20. still very much looking to add an improved 3B for the upcoming season. Tried dealing with the Hurl but he is sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Shoot me some ideas if you have one available.

We'll never know what the impetus or his motives were. Maybe kids today are just more attuned to this issue then they were when I grew up. Maybe he really didn't want it to happen, but had trouble standing up to an older person, so went to the cops after. Weird story that we probably won't ever get the whole picture on.
