My farm looks better if you are high on Gordon and Turner (which is not a given). I do like that I have lots of talent close to the majors (should graduate Meyers, Taylor, Russell, and Sanchez this year) and I've managed to get some nice high picks for this years draft (2,11). I'll put my farm up against anyones, but I don't think its a slam dunk #1 like (I believe) it was last year.

Machado is a beast... IRL. Too much of his value is on the defensive side of the ball. Trade him!

MLB is the best allstar game because its the closest to a real game. NHL and NBA are a tie because its sort of like a friendly pickup game. NFL is in a league of its own because it just guys trying not to get injured or add another concussion. They are all stupid.

Total give-away by the Pack. Just brutal. The on-side kick was terrible (especially with Jordy right behind him), but the 2-point conversion was just laughable defense. I also agree that the OT rules are bunk. Leaving the game up to a coin toss is retarded.

imagine a MIF of Reyes and Weeks... oh my That being said, I was a proponent of taking a flier on him last year, and I would this year for a 1-year type thing. As others have said, if he doesn't perform, hopefully Travis is tearing up the minors.

I don't see us getting Zobrist (I would trade Sanchez + another lower minors asset) but that would be amazing. The guy has been remarkably consistent as a 4+ win player. He is projected for 3.9 next year with a very low defensive score on Fangraphs and I don't see him as the kind of player whose defense crumbles so quickly with age (he isn't good at defense because of amazing athleticism that ages). His versatility helps us immensely as we have question marks in the OF (where he can play) and a built in back-up at 2B (Travis) if he has to move off that position to cover another spot. I wouldn't want to see him play a bunch of games at SS, but he does have experience there as well. I don't see it happening, but it would be almost as big a deal as the Donaldson trade. We wouldn't have him as long, but the net win increase at 2B would be huge and that doesn't even account for the benefit the versatility gives us.

I'm happy with my draft. I have Petan and Morriesy knocking on the door. Pulock should be close and a decent player. Bowey is looking like a steal. Comrie may have a decent path to the show if things break right. Brandon Montour might turn into something. I'm lacking much for prospect forwards behind Petan tho.
