so my sell-off of assets has coincided with my climb from 17th to 14th. I'm still making moves and filling rosters 'to win', but my quasi-tank has really backfired. Oh well, here's hoping for a good lottery result

I remember watching the world series games in '92. I was only 7 at the time, and not a huge fan, but man was it exciting. I remember the Alomar home run and him becoming my favorite player. I didn't grow up with any family who like baseball. I didn't watch many regular season games even in the good years and mostly lost interest. Then a buddy of mine got me hooked on MLB MVP 05 for play station. That game was pretty much perfect. It sort of kindled my (real) love for baseball. I found my way onto the Bluejays.com forum, got schooled by Grant of all people for having a man-crush on Juan Pierre when he was a FA (he was good in the game ). Just started learning things about the game (and its more advanced metrics) on the forum and that made me want to learn and watch more (and more and more and more). Best thing about baseball is you can enjoy it with a casual knowledge, wiht a practical knowledge, or by diving into advanced stats.

its basically a good idea to just never take first year results too seriously. More of a sample size now than in the past with an earlier signing deadline, but let these guys have an off-season and start fresh before you start judging them (positive or negative).

I don't mind Buck and Tabby as much as I did in the days before I got MLB.tv. They are fine when you don't have to listen to them every day. Away series are a nice way to get a break with some new commentators (I know you can choose which to listen to in Premium, but I usually just go with the default)

almost done deal for the deadline. Still looking to move Pedro Strop. Would be looking for either a good pick, or (more preferably) an upgrade on one of my prospects. Would definitely move my recently acquired Arron Blair with Strop for something, other prospects are in play too.
