I have never once begged you to return. So that's a lie. I would like to see you dispute that but you won't be able to.
Funny because you had asked to rejoin the group last week and I said no. LOL
The truth is that Alan gave me his number to add him into the WhatsApp group and I had him saved as a contact in my phone. After he rage quit the group multiple times and never got added back.
I like how people point to Kirk's ISO in the FSL as being a red flag when the f***ing league average ISO in that league was... .109!! Hitters slugged .353.
Kirks ISO is a positive. Not a negative!
Not at all. Friedman said that they wanted to make room in the rotation for Gonsolin and didn't want to do the whole long reliever/spot starter shuffle thing with Stripling again like they have done with him before (and Maeda, Urias etc).
Completely fair move, I think it's a bad look for the organization if you keep someone around in a role they shouldn't be in. Stripling deserves to start every 5th day much like Maeda did.
Just thinking out loud now but there are a lot of similarities between the JB Woodman for Aledmys Diaz trade and Conine for Villar trade. Conine now is likely a better prospect than Woodman was at the time of the trade however, but similar profiles and draft positions.
I said with "these deals" - not just referencing the Williams trade. Conine has to be added to the 40 man at the end of next season - possibly they wanted to move on from him before he torpedoes his value at higher levels.
Anyone who has a problem with these deals does not understand how baseball works - these deals are necessary in order to roster crunch and add talent to the major league roster.
You simply cannot keep every prospect in the org. with rule 5 restrictions - the fringy ones have to go for upgrades. Most of the Padres deals this year were about fixing their 40-man roster problem, Potts and Rosario in the Moreland deal both had to be added this offseason or would be exposed. This is part of the process of being a good team.
I have no problem with turning a Kendall Williams type into Ross Stripling.
