  1. This is the hard hitting analysis I come to the BJMB for.
  2. I have never once begged you to return. So that's a lie. I would like to see you dispute that but you won't be able to. Funny because you had asked to rejoin the group last week and I said no. LOL
  3. Yeah, he's frequently wrong, but it's fine. Most people are, ex. Gruber and friends. He's not, far off. You should see what he said about Tatis!
  4. The truth is that Alan gave me his number to add him into the WhatsApp group and I had him saved as a contact in my phone. After he rage quit the group multiple times and never got added back.
  5. Actually, you argued that he was a below average shortstop, now you're saying he's "still average". So admit you were wrong, and we can move on.
  6. Ask him what he thinks of Willy Adames.
  7. Credit to Walker? He's pitching like Ass!
  8. Looks like a 21 year old Nomar Mazara right now.
  9. Saskjaysfan... was right. Keith Law was wrong.
  10. Picture cuts off but the names go 30 deep of quality major leaguers
  11. ITT: People who have been on the board since 2013 are demonstrably not familiar with Laika's posting style
  12. I like how people point to Kirk's ISO in the FSL as being a red flag when the f***ing league average ISO in that league was... .109!! Hitters slugged .353. Kirks ISO is a positive. Not a negative!
  13. Lol connor. What do you know about underlying numbers?
  14. Not at all. Friedman said that they wanted to make room in the rotation for Gonsolin and didn't want to do the whole long reliever/spot starter shuffle thing with Stripling again like they have done with him before (and Maeda, Urias etc). Completely fair move, I think it's a bad look for the organization if you keep someone around in a role they shouldn't be in. Stripling deserves to start every 5th day much like Maeda did.
  15. Just thinking out loud now but there are a lot of similarities between the JB Woodman for Aledmys Diaz trade and Conine for Villar trade. Conine now is likely a better prospect than Woodman was at the time of the trade however, but similar profiles and draft positions.
  16. I said with "these deals" - not just referencing the Williams trade. Conine has to be added to the 40 man at the end of next season - possibly they wanted to move on from him before he torpedoes his value at higher levels.
  17. Anyone who has a problem with these deals does not understand how baseball works - these deals are necessary in order to roster crunch and add talent to the major league roster. You simply cannot keep every prospect in the org. with rule 5 restrictions - the fringy ones have to go for upgrades. Most of the Padres deals this year were about fixing their 40-man roster problem, Potts and Rosario in the Moreland deal both had to be added this offseason or would be exposed. This is part of the process of being a good team. I have no problem with turning a Kendall Williams type into Ross Stripling.
  18. Juan Soto homered twice last night. Not bad 223 wRC+ for a 21 year old.
  19. Walker Buehler Max Scherzer Chris Paddack German Marquez James Paxton Pablo Lopez Aaron Civale Julio Urias Jose Urquidy Ian Anderson Oh God yes
  20. Preller is awful lol
  21. Boxcar comes back and immediately starts spewing his BS.
  22. What has Pete Walker done to keep his job for so long? Our track record with pitchers hasn't been very good
