Good thing I did not promote Hellebuyck Fri, Feb 12 Connor Hellebuyck has been sent to the minors. Advice: The Jets needed to make a roster spot available in order to activate Ondrej Pavelec. We'll see if Hellebuyck rejoins the team in short order or if this is just a temporary measure. Hellebuyck certainly impressed during Pavelec's absence as he posted a 2.34 GAA and .918 save percentage in 26 contests. At the same time, Hellebuyck hasn't been quite as good lately and if the Jets intend to play Pavelec frequently for the remainder of the season, then Hellebuyck might be better served in the AHL where he can play consistently and continue to hone his game.
