One more Whitecaps win or one Lake County Captains loss in the first half's final three games would clinch a playoff berth for the defending Midwest League champs. Dowdy (Win, 4-1) allowed seven total hits in seven frames, tying his season high, walking one, and watching his ERA raise to 2.40 due to solo home runs from Justin Atkinson and Josh Almonte in the third inning, the second homer of the season for each. West Michigan countered with a 19-hit attack, catalyzed by Derek Hill homering off Tayler Saucedo's first pitch of the game. Saucedo (Loss, 2-6) allowed 14 hits and eight runs in five innings, including three runs apiece in each of the first two innings. Whitecaps first baseman Will Maddox, another Midwest League All-Star, was 4-for-5 with four runs scored and a walk, and designated hitter Will Allen finished 5-for-5 with five singles. http://i.imgur.com/VzSdGSR.png http://i.imgur.com/nEsaKLv.png http://i.imgur.com/Rht3k3E.png Kings 3 Stars of the Night 1) Sean Reid Foley: Making his first start in Dunedin, SRF was on point. 7 innings with 12 strikeouts... not much more needs to be said. 2) Jonathan Davis: Davis went 2/3 with a home run and a walk. 3) Jeremy Gabryszwski: Gabryszwski continued his solid season.. going 7 innings with 8 strikeouts. Kings Platinum Arencibia 1) Taylor Saucedo: He gave up 14(!) hits in 5 innings. 14! He faced 29 batters and 14 of them got a hit.
  3. I would be devastated. PeteRose the leader there was rarely picking, waiting for the "perfect matchup" too. It's all over.
  4. That's funny. I remember a lot of the leaderboard was destroyed when JBJ lost his streak.
  5. I play it. Haven't been able to get past 9 though.
  6. Rodrigo Orozco. Athletic CF who hit well in Bluefield last season. I've always had a soft spot for Barreto as a 2B with a good hit tool. Lizardo and Gudino were both high profile IFAs. Jacob Anderson was a high draft pick back in 2011. But next week J.B. Woodman and Cavan Biggio should be there among other draftees.
  7. Not really. I haven't attacked anyone this entire time. The guy just comes in at me with a barrage of insults and one liners.
  8. Keep trashing me dude you're only digging the hole deeper for yourself.

  10. You sound like one of the new generation Ice hockey fans that enjoy the pussy game it has become. That is me. I enjoy the speed and skill of the game.
  11. The Dylan/BBBB Home Run contest collaboration was supposed to be the next big thing. What a disappointment.
  12. Looks like all it took was a little Zaun for you guys to see that the slide was illegal. The voice of reason. The Manalyst.
  13. Hockey is doing it right I think. Headshots are ridiculously dangerous and fighting #s are way down too. Unpopular opinion but I would be fine if they just took fighting out of the game completely.
  14. No there won't be. They are taking it out of the game.
  15. I haven't been through the program myself but I know some on this board who have. Once you learn to respect others on the internet it becomes a way better place. I remember the bad days where I would attack everyone for having a different opinion like Stangstag, luckily those days are behind me.
  16. You've been attacking me endlessly since I first posted my opinion, and I have not said anything insulting to you. Maybe if you can't handle differing opinions on an internet message board without getting aggressive you should take up some internet etiquette counselling.
  17. I'm not wrong I just don't like seeing players in a position to get injured. Hopefully Pillar gets a fine, that should teach him not to do it again.
  18. Not really. Pillars slide was too aggressive he took out the legs of Hernandez, it was dangerous.
