Fair enough. No arguments from me there. I think will likely be his power that defines his career. If he's just a slap singles guy like Espinal he might just be a bench player.
What do you mean by contact first usually translate better to the majors? What does Lopez profile even look like at the major league level? Maybe he could be like, Espinal?
The NBA was a shitshow this year injury wise. I don't know how you can say that there are significantly less injuries. Just look at the teams in the playoffs. The Nuggets lost Jamal Murray. Clippers lost Kawhi and Ibaka. Nets lost Kyrie and were playing Harden with a grade 2 hamstring strain. Embiid was playing with a torn meniscus. Donovan Mitchell was playing injured on the Jazz, they were also missing Mike Conley. It's a f***ing trainwreck. Basically every team is playing hobbled. Might as well be wheelchair basketball. Also Anthony Davis on the lakers.
Player types are like that often. Brett Lawrie was supposed to be a big hitting 3B but ended up being an elite defensive 3B with an average bat. Kevin Pillar was comped to Reed Johnson when he was coming up.. crushed the minor leagues and was supposed to be a fringe corner outfielder. Cavan Biggio was drafted as a defensive minded 2B. I'm sure there is more.
My recommendation is to either
a) Buy MiLB.TV yourself (it's like $40 or something for the whole season - I think you can also buy individual games)
or
Find someone who can share an account with you. Certainly someone on the Blue Jays subreddit has an account they would be willing to share
So spin rates are down across the board - Bauer, Cole, Bieber, Burnes, others, and all these "elite" SP are getting rocked. I don't know what is real anymore. This f***ing game.
This post is the definition of misleading.
Castro did all of his prospect development at the MLB level. Of course his career stats are garbage. He's been solid the past 2 years. I would take him on my team any day.
