A.J. Jimenez gave the Herd a short-lived 2-1 lead in the top of the ninth, driving in Dalton Pompey (pinch running for Chris Colabello) with a single through the right side of the infield. However, Bo Schultz gave up a walk and a pair of singles in the home half of the frame, allowing the Wings to plate the tying run. The hard-throwing closer was still on the hill in the 10th and followed up a leadoff single to Wilfredo Tovar with a pair of outs. Schultz was unable to get the third as Palka sent a 1-2 offering over the wall in right for the win. In his 12th start for the Bisons this year, Casey Lawrence lasted a season-high 7.1 innings. The slender righty worked efficiently, needing just 57 pitches to get through the first five innings. With the game tied 1-1 and two men on in the sixth, Lawrence buckled down with back-to-back strikeouts to get out of the jam. The 28-year finished with five K's, allowing one run on five hits. Aaron Loup took over for Lawrence and laid waste to the heart of the Wings' lineup. The cross-firing reliever sat down Rochester's two, three and four batters in order - all on strikeouts. Melky Mesa wasted no time with his opportunity to bat leadoff. The speedy outfielder took the first pitch of the game to the wall in right-center field for a triple. Mesa crossed home a couple of batters later for the opening run of the night as Matt Dominguez grounded out to third. BISONS NOTES: Prior to Friday's festivities, Ryan Goins was recalled to the Blue Jays…Toronto optioned Darrell Ceciliani to the Herd as the corresponding move…Jesus Montero's 2-for-4 night extended his hitting streak to 11 games. Buffalo's designated continues to lead the IL in hits at 140…Now with 17 appearances pitched for the Herd this season, Aaron Loup has still not given up a home run…The Bisons fall to 2-6 in extra-inning games. http://i.imgur.com/PsAZTAh.png http://i.imgur.com/6ET87WX.png http://i.imgur.com/JZIsRcU.png http://i.imgur.com/NfklnsK.png http://i.imgur.com/XDallEr.png http://i.imgur.com/UUJFnKx.png http://i.imgur.com/LIk2Zrq.png http://i.imgur.com/6eYPBN0.png http://i.imgur.com/KLIvrMG.png http://i.imgur.com/IgPdQyj.png http://i.imgur.com/PNvqH1M.png http://i.imgur.com/Uy822hd.png http://i.imgur.com/GCi83iE.png http://i.imgur.com/Q22GH0o.png http://i.imgur.com/DRHC8He.png http://i.imgur.com/n3Y2BpG.png http://i.imgur.com/oew56mw.png http://i.imgur.com/HRFiP03.png http://i.imgur.com/su2bsbR.png http://i.imgur.com/Uksovuz.png http://i.imgur.com/vl8aM2p.png http://i.imgur.com/EtbX2FR.png http://i.imgur.com/wUqTpt8.png Kings 3 Stars of the Night 1) Shane Dawson: Dawson pitched 6 innings giving up only 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 6. 2) Ryan McBroom: McBroom went 3/4 with a double and a walk. 3) Jordan Romano: Romano pitched 5.1 innings giving up only 1 earned run while striking out 5. 6. Looks like it's going to be Canada vs South Korea on Sunday, winner plays the winner of Australia/Panama, loser players the winner of Mexico/Italy

  8. Not anymore that win was huge. Take down the projected #1 team and continuing on the winners bracket instead of playing for elimination in game 2 is massive. Not to mention the advantage of having games spaced out due to pitch counts

    Rangers it is.
  10. Interesting pick ups. Reina was decent as a starter last year though has been a disaster this season. Sterner a LHP with a good strikeout rate.
  11. California vs Iowa is on here ---> http://embedstream.com/espn_usa.php
  12. Canada plays the winner of Caribbean/Asia-Pacific on Sunday @ 5
