His wRC+ is 116 now, I wonder what it will be tomorrow. Probably through the roof.
-
Yup, there was that trade with the dispersal pick between you and BB. I'll add him and Markov to your team.
-
Of note, Yahoo got super stingy with position eligiblity, so that could effect how you plan your keepers. All my forwards only have one forward position where as last season it was pretty much everyone with dual eligibility.
-
Alright I added everyone from the dispersal draft to the right rosters. - Make sure you check over the offseason roster page on the doc, to see if you have all of your players (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MW2nxU_ibNJT6WNTsKskXs6jmNI8cUJddnObxInGyVY/edit#gid=1105240589). Last year Yahoo had a whole bunch of players missing from the database at the start of the year, could be similar this time. - Cutdown date set for September 6th (Tuesday after september long weekend) on Yahoo, same as last year I believe. - Waiver Draft set to start Friday, September 9th at 8:00 AM EST. - Select your keepers on Yahoo, they have a process for it. Good Luck this season everyone!
-
TCA could you add me as a co-commish on Yahoo? I can start adding some of the dispersal draft players to teams.

Buffalo lost to the Gwinnett Braves 6-4 on Thursday from Coolray Field, falling for the seventh time against the G-Braves in 2016. The Herd have not just struggled against Gwinnett, having dropped 23 of its last 27 ballgames, and losing five straight games during the second-to-last road trip of the season. The Braves' Rio Ruiz was responsible for five of the club's six runs, ending the night with both a two-run home run and a three-run double. With the score tied at one, a two-out, two-run home run by Ruiz gave the G-Braves a 3-1 advantage in the bottom of the third. Ruiz added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth, clearing the bases with a three-run double against Bisons' starter Scott Copeland. Ruiz, batting cleanup as the designated hitter, also walked twice in the contest. The Herd attempted a rally in the ninth, cutting Gwinnett's lead from 6-2 to 6-4. Darrell Ceciliani doubled in Andy Burns against Kanekoa Texeira, and Matt Dominguez grounded out with runners on second and third, driving in a second run. Jesus Montero walked, bringing Chris Colabello up with runners on the corners and two outs. Representing the go-ahead run, Colabello struck out looking on a called strike three to end the ballgame. Copeland was knocked around for his roughest outing of the year, allowing a season-high six earned runs and nine hits, along with three walks over 5.0 innings of work. He falls to 3-2 in 2016, losing his first road game of the year. The Bisons worked some two-out magic at the plate in the top of the second, as a pair of singles and a walk brought up Dalton Pompey. The Buffalo centerfielder worked a bases loaded free pass against Braves' starter Jed Bradley, forcing in the game's first run. Gwinnett loaded the bases in the bottom of the second, tying the game on a sac-fly by shortstop Daniel Castro. Castro was one of just three hitters to end the night hitless for the Braves. Jed Bradley allowed five hits and four walks, but kept the Bisons to just one run. He picked up one of his six strikeouts in the top of the seventh, fanning Darrell Ceciliani with runners on the corners. Chris Withrow relieved Bradley for the top of the eighth, pitching in a major league rehab assignment. He was quickly greeted by leadoff batter Matt Dominguez, who promptly deposited his team-leading 18th home run of the year. The Braves mustered just one walk and no hits against Bisons' reliever Bo Schultz in the sixth and seventh innings. Lefty reliever Matt Dermody kept the score 6-2 in the bottom of the eighth, preventing Reid Brignac from capitalizing on a two-runners on opportunity, by striking the veteran out. The Bisons now return home for the final fridaynightbash! of the season with Scott Diamond taking the mound in a matchup against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. First pitch is set for 7:05p.m. from Coca-Cola Field. David Buchanan is scheduled to take the bump for the 'Pigs, in what will be the first of seven-straight home games for Buffalo, and the last homestand of the season. BISONS NOTES: Ryan Goins was optioned to Buffalo on Thursday, as the Blue Jays activated Jose Bautista from the 15-day disabled list… Jesus Montero's 15-game hitting streak, the longest active streak in IL, ended when he went 0-4 with a walk… A.J. Jimenez caught Emilio Bonifacio stealing in the bottom of the first, the 25th caught steal for Jimenez this season… Matt Dominguez' 18 home runs are the most by a Bison since Dan Johnson also hit 18 in 2014. http://i.imgur.com/w6kTM98.png http://i.imgur.com/WHpLfNT.png http://i.imgur.com/zvIApAI.png http://i.imgur.com/vpVjwzI.png Reading, PA - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (62-69) could not hold an early 1-0 lead in a 6-1 loss to the Reading Fightin Phils (83-47) on Thursday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. RHP John Stilson's fastball was clocked at 98-100 mph on the ballpark radar gun in his two innings of relief. New Hampshire was held to five singles, including a pair in the third inning that led to a sacrifice fly from Richard Urena to give the Fisher Cats a 1-0 lead. Reading would score six unanswered runs from there, highlighted by a single, double and homer from Roman Quinn. Reading starter John Richy (W, 4-3) allowed four hits in eight dominant innings, and retired 16 batters in a row from the third to the eighth. Wilmer Font (L, 3-1) threw 99 pitches through five innings and allowed three runs (two earned) while striking out four batters against no walks. Chris Smith struck out the side in a hitless inning of relief in the bottom of the eighth. John Straka (1-1, 12.91) will start for New Hampshire against Tom Eshelman (4-4, 5.54 ERA) in Friday night's matchup, which is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. The Fisher Cats final homestand of the season opens on Monday, August 29 against Trenton at 6:35 p.m. with Firefighter Appreciation Night. For tickets and information, visit www.nhfishercats.com. The homestand also includes four games with the Sea Dogs and five Atlas Fireworks Shows. The season concludes on Labor Day against Portland with a 1:35 p.m. start time. http://i.imgur.com/qbhAJRx.png http://i.imgur.com/zwXDF4k.png http://i.imgur.com/1uTZMLH.png http://i.imgur.com/yVOTsHC.png http://www.milb.com/assets/images/1/9/8/197703198/cuts/_41_Harris_T43A9488_ejjh68f1_wwdqkss2.jpg TAMPA, FL - RHP Jon Harris (W, 3-1) allowed an unearned run over 5.2 innings while the Dunedin Blue Jays (39-21) used four errors from the Tampa Yankees (32-28) to take the rubber match, 6-2, on Thursday. 2B Dickie Joe Thon and DH Max Pentecost clubbed back-to-back doubles in the fifth against LHP Nestor Cortes (L, 4-2) who struck out ten. Four of the six Dunedin runs went unearned, including the first two in the top of the second inning. Two 3B Kevin Cornelius errors led to a 2-0 Jays lead. Tampa cut the lead in half in the fourth with a 1B Connor Spencer bases loaded walk, but Harris stranded the bases loaded. After Thon and Pentecost belted their doubles in the fifth, Cortes struck out the next two batters to bring his five inning total to ten and ending his night. In the sixth, Harris was pulled with two outs in favor of the lefty-lefty matchup with LHP Tim Mayza (H, 2). Spencer singled on the infield to load the bases, but Mayza induced a flyout of LF Devyn Bolasky to, once again, strand the bases loaded. Up 4-1, Dunedin added insurance with a run in the sixth. C Michael De La Cruz singled, one of his three hits, and eventually ended up on third with two outs. On a routine toss back to the pitcher RHP Jordan Foley, C Jesus Aparicio threw the ball away, allowing De La Cruz to score one of his three runs. In the eighth, his two-out triple scored on a SS Jorge Mateo error one batter later. The Jays begin a three game set with Lakeland in Dunedin on Friday with RHP Brad Allen against RHP Jeff Thompson. First pitch is at 6:30 pm. http://i.imgur.com/Hfb2mwj.png http://i.imgur.com/UyjnifV.png http://i.imgur.com/eHThuqB.png http://i.imgur.com/rUe7SGL.png http://www.milb.com/assets/images/2/5/8/175003258/cuts/Perdomo_9089_t2p2qoz2_x8nzzxsb.jpg DAYTON, OH - Two days after being named a Midwest League Post Season All-Star, Angel Perdomo returned to form, leading the Lansing Lugnuts (29-31, 65-65) to a 7-2 win over the Dayton Dragons (23-37, 44-86) on Thursday night at Fifth Third Field. With the win, the Lugnuts avoided a four-game sweep and remained within a half-game of the Great Lakes Loons for the Eastern Division wild card with ten games remaining in the regular season. Perdomo (Win, 4-7) had lasted only one inning in his last start, allowing four runs to the South Bend Cubs on August 20th. He was markedly better on this night, striking out seven Dragons in six innings while allowing only a pair of third-inning runs (one earned). The Lugnuts victimized Dragons starter Austin Orewiler (Loss, 3-13) for leadoff doubles by Andrew Guillotte, John La Prise and Juan Kelly respectively in the first three innings, scattering solo tallies in the first, second, third and fifth innings. Guillotte added an RBI triple in a three-run seventh against Jeremy Kivel, closing out the scoring. Tom Robson pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Perdomo, departing after walking the bases loaded with two outs in the ninth. Andrew Case (Save, 8) struck out top prospect Nick Senzel looking to end the game. Senzel, the second overall pick in the June draft, finished the night 0-for-5 with four strikeouts. In the win, Connor Panas was 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs; Jake Thomas went 1-for-3 with two runs scored; and Kelly finished 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI to extend his on-base streak to a team-high 26 straight games. Lansing opens a four-game series at Lake County at 7:00 p.m. Friday, starting left-hander Ryan Borucki (9-4, 2.56) opposite Captains right-hander Triston McKenzie (1-1, 3.42). The Lugnuts return home to Cooley Law School Stadium for a three-game series against Bowling Green from August 31-September 2. Honourable mention to Angel Perdomo! Kings Platinum Arencibia 1) Chris Colabello: Colabello went 0/5 with 3 strikeouts.

Shutouts were pretty random week to week anyway, and if your goalie gets a shutout it still shows up in wins/GAA/SV%/saves. I don't think it's a huge deal. Though at the time of the vote we didn't know we would be contracting to 16 teams. It doesn't make a difference to me if we keep it or not. It would benefit me (if we kept it) since I have some depth in goal but I'm cool with either way.
-
Remember we are removing shutouts as a category for this year too, as voted on last offseason.

Yahoo Fantasy Hockey is open. Lmao @ this: http://i.imgur.com/inkILPx.png Not sure if we can renew the old league with the change to 16 teams or have to make a new one? Also going to have to re-align the divisions. Cutdown will probably be sometime next week. Just select your keepers in on Yahoo. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MW2nxU_ibNJT6WNTsKskXs6jmNI8cUJddnObxInGyVY/edit#gid=1065498864

Nice to see the trolls came out tonight. -
And he's already spent 2015 playing in the DSL backfields, maybe they'd consider that one of his 2 years (if the policy is even in place).
-
If he was playing in the GCL or DSL I would agree, but he spent this entire year in Bluefield, and there is no reason to hold him back for another extended spring training unless something unforeseen happens. It'll be Lansing for sure.
-
Holding him back for extended spring training makes no sense at all. It's going to be Lansing for sure. I don't even think its a question unless he gets injured.

Now that everyone is back what is your ideal lineup?

The middle game of a three-game set from Lawrenceville, GA saw the Herd fall to 0-6 against Gwinnett in 2016, and lose its fourth-straight ballgame during the last road trip of the season. Buffalo is now 9-14 in the month of August. Jesus Montero and Chris Colabello each went 2-4, with Colabello homering for a two-run shot in the eighth. A 1-1 tie was ended by Gwinnett in the bottom of the sixth, when leadoff batter and major league veteran Reid Brignac knocked a solo home run over the right field wall. Brignac's blast, just over the leaping grab of Junior Lake, began a stretch of five unanswered runs for the Braves. Darrell Ceciliani knocked his 10th home run of the year in the top of the first to put the Bisons' out on top 1-0. It was the only earned run allowed by G-Braves' starter Rob Wooten, who surrendered four hits and one walk in 4.0 innings of work. Tyler Moore tied the game at one for Gwinnett in the bottom of the first, cracking a single with two runners on into right field past a diving Chris Colabello. Moore went 2-4 with two RBI in the contest, with Briganc going 3-4 with three RBI, and Braeden Schlehuber finishing with three RBI in a 2-4 night. Bisons' starter Casey Lawrence settled down after the first inning run, keeping Gwinnett off the bases until a leadoff walk in the fifth. Lawrence ran into trouble in the bottom of the seventh, when a single by Kyle Kubitza and a double by Daniel Castro brought up Gwinnett catcher Schlehuber. The Braves' backstop singled in a run on a hit into right field, which got past Lake, allowing a second run to cross the plate. Lawrence left after allowing four earned runs over 6.1 innings, striking out five. Ryan Tepera, returning from a stint with the Blue Jays, relieved Lawrence. His return was sullied by Brignac, who connected for his second home run of the game, with the later shot coming in the form of a two-run homer. Bradley Roney, who relieved Wooten in the fifth, pitched three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, and punching our four hitters. He improves to 3-0 in the year. Maikel Cleto entered for Gwinnett out of the bullpen for the top of the eighth, but a dropped infield pop-up allowed Jesus Montero to reach first. A batter later, Chris Colabello made the error count, mashing a two-run homer to right. Tyler Moore added Gwinnett's third longball in the bottom of the eighth, taking Chad Girodo deep. The Moore homer was followed by Braeden Schlehuber's singling up the middle, adding his third RBI of the night. The Bisons were officially eliminated from playoff contention on Tuesday, following the club's loss to Gwinnett, and a win for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Aug. 23. In the club's final road game of the 2016 season, the Herd will send Scott Copeland to the mound against the Braves on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from Coolray Field. On Friday, the Bisons head home, and will begin a four-game series with Lehigh Valley. BISONS NOTES: Reliever Ryan Tepera rejoined the Herd after being optioned by the Blue Jays on Tuesday… Tepera, appearing in his first Triple-A game since Aug. 7, allowed his first earned run on the road since July 4. Jesus Montero increased his hitting streak to 15-games, the longest by a Bison this season. http://i.imgur.com/yefNLNA.png http://i.imgur.com/BGmlXH6.png http://i.imgur.com/bt9wBuT.png http://i.imgur.com/nrz4upk.png Portland, Maine - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (62-68) jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, but the Portland Sea Dogs (51-76) stormed back for a 10-7 win on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field. As they did on Tuesday, the Fisher Cats started strong. An RBI triple from Dwight Smith, Jr. and a sacrifice fly from Rowdy Tellez made it 2-0 in the first inning. New Hampshire added three more in the second with RBIs from Ian Parmley, Richard Urena and Smith. Portland scratched across a run with an RBI groundout in the second, but Urena answered with a run-scoring single in the fourth to re-extend the lead to 6-1. Portland took over from there. Shane Dawson entered the seventh inning with just three runs allowed, but a pair of walks and a double loaded the bases and chased him from the game. Brady Dragmire (BS, 1)(L, 4-6) allowed two singles, a walk and an RBI groundout to give Portland the lead. the big blow was a two-run, game-tying single from Aneury Tavarez. New Hampshire managed to answer in the top of the eighth when Jason Leblebijian tripled and scored on an infield single from Parmley to tie the game at 7-7. Nate Freiman dealt the finishing blow in the bottom of the ninth, launching a three-run, walk-off homer over the massive fence in left field to give the Sea Dogs a 10-7 win. Urena, Tellez and Parmley drove in two runs each, while Tellez extended his team-leading RBI total to 70. The Fisher Cats continue their road trip with four games in Reading against the Fighting' Phils, starting tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. Eastern League Pitcher of the Week Wilmer Font (3-0, 2.10 ERA) is scheduled to take the mound against John Richy (3-3, 5.19 ERA). The final homestand of the season opens on Monday, August 29 against Trenton at 6:35 p.m. for Firefighter Appreciation Night. For tickets and information, visit www.nhfishercats.com. The homestand also includes four games with the Sea Dogs and five Atlas Fireworks Shows. Ramirez faced the minimum 24 batters over his eight frames, striking out eight Jays. The first hit of the game did not come until the bottom of the fifth when CF Jeff Hendrix recorded a two-out infield single off of RHP Justin Shafer. The Jays' starter impressed in a no decision, allowing three hits over six scoreless frames. Shafer was outdueled by Ramirez who had not allowed a baserunner until he hit 3B Dickie Joe Thon in the seventh inning with one out. Thon was caught stealing to end the inning. With the no-hitter still intact headed to the eighth, 1B Ryan McBroom dribbled a single down the third base line to record Dunedin's first hit. A double play off the bat of RF Jonathan Davis kept Ramirez facing the minimum. In the bottom of the eighth, Tampa put the first runs on the board against reliever RHP Francisco Rios (L, 5-6). After 3B Thairo Estrada led off with a single, SS Gleyber Torres tripled to the wall in right center, giving Tampa a 1-0 lead. Rios retired the next two batters with Torres at third, but LHP Jose Fernandez surrendered a pair of singles as soon as he entered the game, providing the 3-0 final score. RHP Dillon McNamara (S, 12) shut the door in the ninth. The two teams will partake in a rubber match, the final game of the year in Tampa for Dunedin. RHP Jon Harris duels with LHP Nestor Cortes. http://i.imgur.com/oMt040J.png http://i.imgur.com/ZaE6BrR.png http://i.imgur.com/jmqqOe0.png http://i.imgur.com/VMwRYWd.png http://www.milb.com/assets/images/4/4/0/189018440/cuts/Jordan_Romano_fc2it9qm_zvhedzz5.jpg DAYTON, OH - Jordan Romano recorded a career-best ten strikeouts in six innings, but the Dayton Dragons (23-36, 44-85) rallied for a second comeback victory in three days, 2-1, over the Lansing Lugnuts (28-31, 64-65) on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Field. Romano struck out five consecutive Dragons between the fifth and sixth innings before departing one batter into the seventh for precautionary reasons. The righty from Markham, Ontario left with a 1-0 lead after giving up just two hits and one walk. Jackson Lowery (Blown Save, 1; Loss, 1-1) was hurried into action and gave up a walk and a bunt single before Jose Duarte tallied the game-tying RBI single into center. Dayton again rallied against Lowery in the eighth inning on back-to-back singles before Lugnuts closer Andrew Case walked Nick Senzel and gave up the go-ahead RBI groundout to Avain Rachal on a slow grounder to third base. Juan Kelly broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with a solo home run onto the grassy hill in right-center, his twelfth round-tripper this season. Dragons reliever Ryan Hendrix (Win, 3-0) tossed two scoreless innings and struck out five Lugnuts, including three in a perfect eighth inning. Connor Panas led off the ninth with a single against converted starter Tanner Rainey (Save, 1), who then recorded three straight outs to close the Dayton victory. Rain showers in downtown Dayton delayed first pitch by one hour and twenty-eight minutes. Lansing suffered a third consecutive loss to the last-place Dragons, but remained just a half-game behind the Great Lakes Loons for the Eastern Division wild card playoff spot with just 11 games left to play. Great Lakes lost at home to the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 2-1, earlier in the evening. Left-handed starter Angel Perdomo (3-7, 3.54) heads to the mound for the 7:00 p.m. series finale on Thursday night in a battle of all-stars against Dragons righty Austin Orewiler (3-12, 4.08). The Lugnuts return home to Cooley Law School Stadium for a three-game series against the Bowling Green Hot Rods from August 31-September 2, the final homestand of the regular season. An early jump gave them a big enough lead to lock down their fourth win of the series. Boise hopped on top early. A two out double for Garrett Hampson in the first had the Hawks in business with Willie Abreu following up with his own double. Canadians starter Denis Diaz had surrendered an early 1-0 lead and Boise never let go. A long top of the third ensued, including for separate walks, which saw the Hawks add four runs. Wes Jones put a two run single into center and Wilkyns Jimenez snuck an RBI single into right to see Boise ahead 5-0. The Hawks would top off their game with a solo run coming across in the fourth. Hampson picked up his second RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly into right. Steven Linkous would come home and Boise got their final run, leading 6-0. Vancouver attempted a come back. A pair of runs touched home against Erick Julio in the fourth. A fielder's choice brought home Deiferson Barreto and a Josh Reavis double saw Rodrigo Orozco come to the plate. The Canadians would get their last run in the seventh on Reavis' solo home run to left off Ryan McCormick. Boise would set it down the rest of the way, polishing it off with a patented Julian Fernandez save for his Northwest League leading thirteenth save of the year. Boise heads to Hillsboro to face the Hops for the last leg of the eleven game road trip. After an off day on Thursday, the Hawks will return to the diamond on Friday. Marcus Stroman, Best Pitcher in Baseball?
King replied to Angrioter's topic in Toronto Blue Jays Talk
He's obviously not the best pitcher in baseball but the results over the past two months have been encouraging for sure. Hopefully he can keep it up because the Stroman we are seeing right now is the one that everyone first expected when he was coming up from the minors. -
