    His girlfriend might never forgive herself if the story about them having an argument at the bar is true. Assuming, Jose and his friends took the boat out after that altercation just to let off a little steam. Just terrible.

    I just don't get this mindset. If you think he was one of the greatest young pitchers in the game why wouldn't he deserve to be in the HOF? As BTS said, the Hall of Fame is about recognizing the great players in the game, and he definitely was one.

    There is no predicting what he could have or couldn't have done, that's impossible and unfair. It's about what he did. And what he did was be one of the greatest young pitchers the game has ever seen. If that doesn't deserve to be in the HOF then I don't know what to tell you.

    He should be in the hall of fame. One of the greatest young pitching talents the game has ever seen. Longetivity is important in some cases, but not this one. Career cut short by TJS and a boating accident. Based on talent alone he should be in it though. I agree with KingKat that I don't think it happens. I also liked the idea tweeted out about having a Jose Fernandez Memorial award going to the player who best embodies the fun and spirit of the game.

    I think they said the baby is supposed to be a girl. Though with Jose Fernandez genetics, maybe she'll be able to throw 99 and become the first female MLB player!

    Have you ever been to a Jays away game? The USA chants are almost always started by obnoxious, intoxicated dbags, that sometimes ends with them getting kicked out of the stadium to the relief of everyone in the section. It's a Jays vs (another team) game, not a USA vs Canada game.

    TV plays a huge part, every game is broadcasted on Sportsnet, I know thats how I became bigger fan when I was younger watching all the games every night locally.

    From my experience, not really, you wouldn't hear Canada chants at a game, though occasionally people will wear Canada clothing, face paint, or have flags. But you hear USA chants everywhere.

    Thats not true. There are way more Jays fans in Manitoba than Twins fans. For the Twins series. There are Jays fans that travel from all over, smaller Minnesota towns, Manitoba, Iowa, Wisconsin, Saskatchewan, North Dakota.

    I wouldn't say that, he could flip RBIs, home runs, etc and then he would win. We have been at a disadvantage this week with the injuries to Crawford and Eaton, Frenchsoup has 196 ABs to our 148. So I think that makes what we've done on offense impressive, regardless of the final outcome.
