  1. Per Braves media Tyler Flowers has been asked to catch the knuckleball. And Dickey gets $7.5m in 2017
  2. Fangraphs. Not as good as it once but still informative for the most part. The hardball times is good too I think though I don't read it much myself.
  3. I never browse websites like TSN or Sportsnet. Twitter for me and then MLBTR has all the info one needs. And mlb at bat app for scores.
  4. Release candidate
  5. That's a good pick.
  6. For me - C, Willians Astudillo. I wanted to sign him as a minor league free agent last year but he signed with the Braves. Not sure about his MLB Potential but the fact that he never walks or strikes out is neat. RHP Maikel Cleto. If I recall he used to be a high level prospect in baseball. The swing and miss stuff is legit and he is only 27.. LHP Jeff Beliveau. Had good numbers with the Rays back in 2014. But a shoulder injury derailed his 2015 season and he didn't make it back to the MLB in 2016. OF, Slade Heathcott. His personal problems have been well documented, and he used to be a top prospect in baseball. But maybe he could figure it out. RHP John Holdzkom. His 9 inning stint with the Pirates back in 2014 had him with all the hype in the following offseason. OF, Kyle Waldrop. I remember Keith Law gave him a lot of hype coming out of the 2014 season where he crushed AA (though that should have been a red flag). Next year will be 25, and might be a bounce back candidate. LHP, TJ House. No more needs to be said. Bring TJ Home, Shatkins! RHP, Christian Bergman. Had decent peripherals with the Rockies. Maybe just needs a change of ballpark. LHP Tyler Matzek. Put up 1.7 fWAR as a starter back in 2014. Not sure what happened since then, but it's ugly. OF Rosell Herrera. Move him back to shortstop and see if he can figure it out. RHP Preston Guilmet. Former highly touted BJMB minor league free agent signing. Still putting up good numbers in AAA. 1B Balbino Fuenmayor. Time to bring back the great Balbino to the org that started his baseball career. He struggled in AAA last year, but had a lot of hype after 2015 when he crushed it coming out of indy ball. LHP Brett Oberholtzer. Somehow only 27 years old. Used to be about a league average starter, but shoulder injuries derailed his career and he sucked last year. Would not mind on a minor league deal. DH Zach Walters. Dat Power RHP Ben Rowen. When he got rocked in spring training last year his fate was decided. He deserves another opportunity. @Cyborg C, Michael McKenry. A solid depth catcher option RHP Tim Dillard. At minimum he would help out the Bisons social media team RHP Edward Mujica. Good numbers in AAA last season and used to be an okay middle reliever. And has closer experience with the Cardinals! 3B, Garin Cecchini. Former top prospect with the Red Sox. RHP Neil Ramirez. He was a former solid MLB prospect, turned into a dynamite reliever, turned into a shoulder explosion. Struggled last year in the MLB, but did well in AAA. RHP Justin Masterson. The shoulder did him in. DH Stetson Allie. Thats power! And would challenge Rowdy Tellez for fattest player in the org. SS Kyle Drabek. lol @ shoulders
  7. Here is a list of all the minor league free agents. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/minor-league-free-agents-2016/#AS6eZJ6EPOoXCEqU.97 Fourteen players selected in the first three rounds of the 2010 draft are free for the first time to choose their next employer after becoming minor league free agents on Nov. 7. The group includes (with original drafting organization) first-rounders Michael Choice (Athletics), Alex Wimmers (Twins), Kellin Deglan (Rangers) and Cito Culver (Yankees); supplemental first-rounders Matt Lipka (Braves), Taylor Lindsey (Angels), Asher Wojciechowski (Blue Jays), Drew Vettleson (Rays) and Peter Tago (Rockies); second-rounder Stetson Allie (Pirates); and third-rounders Rob Brantly (Tigers), Pat Dean (Twins), Leon Landry (Dodgers) and Sean Coyle (Red Sox) In the case of these 14 players, they qualified for minor league free agency because they signed a minor league Uniform Player Contract in 2010 and have not been released from the terms of that UPC. Teams can renew a player’s UPC six times—for the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons, in the case of 2010 draft picks—before the player either is declared a minor league free agent or his club adds him to the 40-man roster. In rare cases, the two sides agree to a successor minor league contract for 2017, as the Twins did with 2010 second-rounder Niko Goodrum in October. Major League Baseball grants free agency to all eligible players—major and minor league alike—five days after the conclusion of the World Series. MLB furnished Baseball America with the 534-player free agent listing you see below. Free agents are listed alphabetically by position, with closing minor league level in parentheses. And the guys the Jays are losing to free agency: Toronto Blue Jays (26) RHP: Dustin Antolin (AAA), Jason Berken (AAA), Scott Copeland (AAA), Wilmer Font (AA), Bobby Korecky (AAA), Casey Lawrence (AAA), Gregor Mora (Lo A), Gustavo Pierre (Lo A), Murphy Smith (AAA), John Straka (AA) LHP: John Anderson (AA) C: Wilkin Castillo (AAA), Luis Hurtado (AAA), Erik Kratz (AAA), Ryan Lavarnway (AA) 1B: Casey Kotchman (AAA), Jesus Montero (AAA) 2B: David Adams (AAA), Andy Fermin (Hi A), Dickie Joe Thon (Hi A) 3B: Matt Dominguez (AAA) SS: Alexi Casilla (AAA), Jio Mier (AAA) OF: Domonic Brown (AAA), Junior Lake (AAA), Melky Mesa (AAA) Any standouts you would be interested in signing?
  8. I feel bad for Wilson Ramos. He was going to get paid, then his ACL blew out in the last week of the season, and he's lost himself millions of dollars.

So this Laine kid is pretty good.
  11. That was a solid pick back in the first draft.
  12. Shi Davidi ‏@ShiDavidi 3m3 minutes ago Phoenix, AZ Rookie-ball Bluefield #BlueJays catcher Cameron O’Brien suspended 50 games after positive test for Amphetamine. 24 years old in short season ball and his suspension has to start in June instead of April. Goodbye baseball career
  13. Bautista seems like the type to throw a fit and be insulted if the team asked him to move to 1B or DH fulltime.
  14. I know it was just a quote to the media. But atkins said at his press conference that "Bautista could be an effective outfielder for several more years."
  15. Dogg finally has had his moment
  16. Mods
  17. He should be banned just incase.
  18. Read the first post again, and then realize I never asked for Boxy to be banned. Mods please ban this guy.
  19. I am thoroughly enjoying the BBBB crusade against BTS. #MakeBJMBGreatAgain
  20. Rizzo is a cancer survivor too.
  21. Does anyone like this guy on the board. What a meathead.

Last 4 starts since the Tampa blow up 42/43 .977 44/46 .957 29/31 .935 29/31 .935 I think he was still effected by his pre-season injury at the start of the year.
  23. Juiced has contacted me about ways to grow the board in the offseason and I can tell you he has big plans in store.
  24. I like the new Fire Frogs name in the FSL. I forget the location Seems like teams are embracing the wacky minor league names more than ever
